Pink Party

Miss Bug turned four years old on Groundhog Day (what a great birthday!).  February provides an excellent backdrop for a party, doesn't it?  Red.  Pink.  Sparkles.
When we move the kiddie picnic table into the living room, eating is much smoother.  Kelli and I were sitting in the room, too.
Missy had a fun evening.  She's dressed in her favorite color.
Lizzy kicked back with Granny.  We like green footwear.
Kelli and her family are going to Florida today for Kelli's thirtieth birthday.  She needs a sweet break!  The girls have been sick, the business has been very busy and with kids' activities, school, church, she must go, go, go even if she has a stomach bug or a bad cold.  I hope she thoroughly enjoys herself!  I will miss them!

I was twenty-four years old when she was born.  It really doesn't seem like that long ago.  When I turned thirty, I was eight months pregnant with Jenny.  Thirty is a great birthday, too!  Don't you think so?
And Jeff has a puppy.  Lucy.  She's a smart little fuzz ball.  She got a lot of exercise at our house and I took this picture just before Jeff went home to his house.  Lucy goes to bed early.
It is Super Bowl Sunday.  I'm thankful for a quiet day at home with Bill.  I have grading to do, but the temperature outside will be in the 50's and I bet the breeze will smell delicious.  February is off and running.

Thank you for coming by and checking on me.

What a fun day. I watched my DIL's kids yesterday so she could have a nice ground hog birthday with her hubby. My son will be 20 today Feb 3rd
I was much older than you though, I was 35 when I had him.
I love those green shoes. Enjoy your day, I am looking forward to a quiet day at home too. :)
Enjoy that weather.

Hi Mags! Isn't it interesting that everyone remembers their thirtieth birthday? My mom always says that the thirties are HARD work and the forties are easier and the fifties are GRAND. I agree!

Elizabethd, Groundhog Day is a funny day and children learn about it at school. We all hope that the groundhog indicates an early spring!

Hi Kim! You are a nice mommy and granny! Yes, we'd had our four kids before I turned 31. My parents did the same, so my daddy is 30 years older than me and my mom is thirty years older than my sister. So, I guess my MOM had us all before 31 and we are FIVE. She WAS busy in her thirties!
Thank you for liking my green shoes. I've worn them out now. Sad.

Hi Leslie! Yes, puppies are so wonderful. She is a busy little pup and not quite trained so when we puppy sit, we are reminded that we are too lazy to own a dog! I hear you! I'd like Florida about now, too!

Hi Betty! I'm glad you like my family pics. We did have a wonderful time celebrating Missy's birthday. With nine grandchildren coming in six years' time, we've had a concentrated gift of babies. I'll be sad when there are no more babies to hold, but I absolutely love elementary school kids. Our two oldest grands (six years old) are selling Girl Scout cookies now. Granny and Grampy sure have a lot of cookies.

What a lovely party! All parties should be pink. Or maybe not, but it was fun to think it for a second. Love the babies, love the puppy! I'm so easy to please ...

Happy birthday to Miss Bug! Glad I got to see the fun pink and red party and all the family togetherness at your home. I've been outside in the frosty weather helping hubby roll three 1200 pound bales off of our hay trailer so the horses will be occupied for a while! Going to have a cup of tea and get to some school reading. Have a great day!
