Three Views

Just a little hello and three views of a garden stick here. My sweet pea seeds are soaking in a jar, almost ready to plant in the pot outside.
Can you describe the "garden plan" feeling? I am ready for visits to the garden store, mapped out flowerbeds, thinking about summer blooming bulbs, and . . . a sunflower house!
I'm off to school now, but could you take a moment to share some of your garden plans with me?
Guess what? I just realized that this is my 400th post. Wow!

I'm ready for spring...it's been mostly in the 70's this past week and will be again this week. Still too early to plant, tho!

Hi - must tell you first I got gladys taber's daybook - it is so beautiful - a sort of american Hanna Hauxwell! I think I will be quoting from it often - thanks for blogging about it or I would never have known about this author - I got the book for £1+pp! Anyhow, gardening - too early/cold to plant for me yet but Nasturtiums/sweat peas - in the conservatory tomato, cucumber, chilli and peppers - on the allotment - getting ambitious now ... roses, poppies, potatos, beetroot! I posted a tiny hint of my gardening plans yesterday. :)

All I know is that I HAVE to have this little black heirloom radish that I saw. It seems like it would look so pretty on a salad, with a black skin around the crisp white interior!

We are having a very sunny day, so the gardening-planning feeling is beginning to awaken! LOVE your little bee!

Hi Pom Pom! I was at a garden center today...to buy some soil and big pots to repot two frangipani (plumeria) trees. Lots of pretty color there, and people were definitely in the gardening mood.

Oh, Pom Pom, at the rate we are going with the house, we'll be painting inside all summer long, but maybe dreams of a garden will help with the painting! We're starting to get warmer weather here. We all too often seem to jump from winter to summer. I hope we get a nice long spring! xo Kari

Hi Pom! Love your cute little garden bee! I'd love to have a lush English-y garden of perenials and a cutting garden, but sadly, that means I'd have to work out there, doesn't it ;)? Actually, I just bought some spinach plants for my big whiskey barrel on the back porch, and also some strawberry plants for my little 'kitchen garden'. Hope they make it!

I'm planting greens this weekend, and lots more veggies in March and April. We've got tomatoes growing under the grow light. But what I need to get planning are my flower beds. I've never done much with flowers, but this is the spring I'm going to have more color growing around my house!

This cheerful little bee has inspired me. After reading that your sweet pea seeds are soaking, I realized I'd better get busy and put mine in a jar of water too! Congrats on your 400th post - that's quite a milestone - your blog is always such a joy to visit!

I can't think much about gardening yet when it's going to go below zero again this week. But I AM craving fresh green lettuce salads. That's always what I think about first when it comes to planting my garden. Greens!

I forgot to say that I wish you great success in your gardening ventures. Your bee will be a cute addition to the flower patches.

Hello. My garden plans are; prepare to plant my winter vegetables! If I get some seedlings in now, at the end of summer, they should have a head start and we will be able to eat from our garden in the depths of winter.

Hi Pom Pom. Just popping in to say thank you so much for visiting, and for your kind comments. You are so full of joy and such a great encourager. I notice that the post you commented on was dated 13th January. That's a long time ago and at the moment I feel as if I have run out of steam, don't know what to say, and that no one is interested anyway. And then along you come like a ray of sunshine and your encouragement, and I think, well maybe I won't give up after all! I don't know!!

We're going to lose a bit in translation here, Pommy-oh! in the Land of the (sometimes tearful) Strawberries garden plan feeling translates only into garden plan dread- we are rubbish rubbish rubbish at gardening- international advisor required- come now!

Yay! Congratulations on 400! I haven't thought much about the gardens yet this year. We've had so much snow this year, some days I feel as if spring will never arrive. I am hoping I can get the Littles out puttering in the gardens with me when we finally bring them home.

Blessings!
Deborah
