The other night we had a yummy Mexican dinner with friends. She and I were talking about what we "do" and as I said, "I'm not a producer," I realized that this is VERY, VERY true. When I make things, complete things, well, it's a rarity!
Curtains for Jenny's former town home - took me forever!
Magic wand: a couple of hours and then Sue made one, too. Blog projects often reach completion.
I worked on this cardigan for a long time and then it felt so tight in the shoulders. I save it because I like to look at a knitted item that I actually completed. Note: this is at least two DECADES old.
Cross stitch: VERY low producer in this realm!
SOMETIMES, I paint wood and add knobs.
And at least ten years ago, I actually completed a wall papering job. Stay with me, play along.
Before Kelli and Bryan sold their first home, I actually completed this set of curtains. I'm glad I took a picture.
Okay, so now I feel better. Smile. My creative pursuits do not produce quantity, but I still appreciate the joy of creating, the process more than the product. I like that sage advice I've picked up from several wise bloggers: Do the next thing. Thank you.
I hope some light shines on your squishy heart today.
By the way, I LOVE reading about other peoples' projects, their plans, their joy upon completion. I really DO! Do you?

One thing about having Works In Progress....you can enjoy them for a very long time....if you choose! When they are done it is great joy and satisfaction, too! Either way it's a Positive Project! Your knitted sweater is lovely...mine is still a WIP...I'm enjoying it that way too. I am using my Wand...one of my favorite projects done with YOU!
I love the process of some projects and those are the ones that actually get done. I have a ton that doesn't get done. I look at it, shrug my shoulders and say, "Eh."
I like your projects. There is a theme...they are all red! Maybe you planned that.

Pom Pom, blogging was invented for people like us, who can create blogs--in quantity, too! I was just getting ready to blog about some of my old projects, decades old like some of yours.
You are too a producer! All the creative juice & energy it takes to teach ELA and continuously find interesting lessons and projects is a big production - BIG.
And all your sewing and knitting (wow! that sweater looks hard) looks wonderful!

You complete the important ones. you decorated the handkercheifs I use to this day. The cross onthe wall and outside my house and in yours. The cute bunting. The poem you wrote about gpa that got published. You are very productive where it counts. Beethoven only wrote 9 symphonies, but they all counted.
You, dear Pom Pom, are a producer of lovely words and drawing pictures. I am always amazed by your notebooks full of thoughts and illustrations to go with!
I like the things you've made by hand. I am always, always awed by your knitters.
I'm in "creative mode" right now and will share soon something I've been fiddling with.

I love the doesn't fit jumper, could it be recycled? it's too pretty to be tucked away - sleeves off and becomes a scarf or cushion? xxx

Those things are mre valuable than cross stitch samplers and gingham curtains

I think you make a lot! You sewed curtains for our kitchen and Aria's room. You have knit many projects (bags, tea cups, blankets, shawls, etc.) and all your crosses. The list could go on and on! You are very creative!

You have done well Karen! I'm certainly one to only do projects that I can finish in one sitting. I never get back to them otherwise. I'm in the process of making a summer bonnet for Sadie....I'm up to model 3. The first one is in rubbish, the second alright, but not 100% right. Third time lucky I hope! xx
Pom Pom, you are not alone! I find blogging gives me a little bit of accountability which is why I am still plugging away at some of the projects I started. I love, love, love the gingham curtains that you have made. I want gingham in my new kitchen :o).
