My COVID Bout

Hello friends!  I want to tell you that I had COVID, was sick in bed for 7-8 days and then was taken to the hospital with COVID pneumonia!  I was in the hospital for six days.
I was so weak, so vulnerable.  I had intestinal distress and I didn't know that I was not getting enough oxygen.  I am not a medicine person. I didn't know how to help myself. I believe that being so physically vulnerable and alone (COVID wards are completely isolated - absolutely NO visitors) that Jesus the Healer came to me and healed me.  I  believe He placed His angels in the corners of that hospital room.  I relearned that without Christ I am nothing.  It is a good lesson to learn.  I feel clean and born again.

The food at the hospital was a treat!  A gift!

The view out the window = sky!

The bed was soft and comfy.
The hospital itself is beautiful.

Going home!  Being alive!  (People do die from COVID)

I am so grateful to be home and to feel so good.  I'm thankful for recently developed COVID therapies and how they worked.  I appreciate each meal, each warm piece of clothing.  My family loved me so dearly and cared for me so tenderly.  I feel rich and renewed.

Yesterday I went to my local yarn store and bought sock wool.  That was fun!  We ate pancakes to commemorate the beginning of Lent.

Oh, God the only GOD!  I belong to you!

(HUGE HUG!)

I am so glad you are ok. Please take it easy. It is terrible you had to be alone. My husband had surgery this summer and it tore me up to not be with him. I hope you recover fully.

Oh my. So glad you made it through and saw all the blessings around you in the process, Pom! It's in trials that we see our need for the Lord most clearly, as you can attest. He is good!

This made me cry, for you and what you've been through and for me for being so selfish to not be in touch when I noticed your absence. I'm so glad you're home and feeling well enough to buy sock yarn! yippee for sock knitting.... and I send blessings for your continued and speedy recovery. Much love from me. xxx

Oh my goodness, what an ordeal you have been through. It is wonderful you are back home enjoying your family, your sweet home..... and Timothy. We should be so thankful for the medical professionals and hospital staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to care for their patients. They all must be exhausted. Events such as these cause us to see life a little differently; see the heart of God a little clearer, don't they. It is good to visit you at home again. =) Take care, lovely lady. Enjoy knitting up all that pretty yarn.

Oh My dear Pom Pom - I am SO pleased to read you are okay now - what an ordeal you have been through. I'm pleased to read you are feeling improved now. Its strange because I was gardening earlier this week & you popped into my thoughts & I remember thinking to myself "Pom Pom hasn't posted in awhile - I hope she's okay". So there you go ... sending love, thoughts & prayers to you dear friend. xxx

I am so grateful that you were able to walk out of that hospital and are recovering well. Please continue to take care as you build up your strength. I'm glad you got yarn! I just had my second vaccine the other day. I know what you mean about the newest drugs and therapies for treatment. It's so encouraging that now they are coming up with things that are effective. Good news indeed.

Oh, Pom Pom!!! I'm so sorry you were ill and alone, away from family. But as you say -- there are dear truths and wonders we learn from suffering, and from nothing else. How amazing to feel God's presence with you, healing and loving you, in your hospital room. I'm so thankful you are on the mend and back home. I have an elderly relative (early 80s) who got Covid in mid-November. She is still very weak and in rehab. She cannot yet dress herself, so she cannot go home. I'm thankful you are home with Timmy and your knitting :) Much love coming your way!

Oh my! I wondered where you had gotten to! I ran into a friend at the grocery store yesterday and she reported that she had had COVID which had turned into pneumonia. I'm so glad you're better and enjoying life at home again. Here's praying that you're now IMMUNE! I'm not sure if I've had it. My neighbor kids are pretty sure they did before most folks had even heard of it, so maybe I got a little dose. Please, Lord! The Lord is our whole source of everything, when it comes right down to it. I'm so glad you felt His prescence so strongly. Hugs and love!

Goodness me! How bad for you! I am happy that you are now well again. Your post reminds me of the lessons I learned when I was going through cancer - we truly can throw ourselves into God's arms, and God will look after us. We are God's children.

So glad that you are home and doing well. Yes, so many people have passed from this terrible disease, including my aunt who was only 69. I am so glad you are OK, and yes, I know that God has blessed you and your family. Thanks for the update.

Dear Karen I am so glad you have recovered from Covid, it has touched some people I know and lots of people I talk to through my job and I know it affects people in many different ways and for some time afterwards. The loneliness must be a big thing to bear but your strong faith and the Heavenly Spirit have carried you through. I am very glad your work on this planet is not yet complete! Stay well and I am sorry I didn't read this post sooner so I could send you healing thoughts and prayers. Blessings to you - Betty x

OMGoodness! I had no idea! I'm so glad you recovered and are back home again. What an experience! I hope you'll share more about it (how/where you think you contracted it, how you decided it was time to go to the hospital, etc). Stay well.

This is such a sweet report of an undoubtably hard situation, but of course it is made possible by God's great love...yes!
I hope you will do everything you can do to rest deeply to recover completely and enjoy that ever deepening knowledge of God's love in Christ Jesus.
