Yellow Love

I'm not sure what this plant is but yellow has been my favorite color lately.  I have a new yellow cardigan, a yellow phone, a yellow comforter, a yellow computer case, and even a pair of yellow pants.  Do you like yellow?

We brought BT over to our house when James and Noah went on vacation with their mom and dad.  He was very nervous being in an unfamiliar place,  so I sat on the sofa with him a lot.  He's such a nice warm boy.  He did like walking our neighborhood and did not pull on his leash. I really like him

Look at this toothless boy!
I realized that my turquoise sun hat makes me look funny.  I think my baseball cap makes me look borderline bald😂, but it feels nice and snug.  I have never looked very good in hats but I did notice that maybe similar to weighted blankets, a hat can make one feel safe.  Remember how it says in Ephesians 6:17 "... take the helmet of salvation"?  Above all, the helmet of salvation makes me feel safe forever!
The volunteer marigolds are so vibrant.  The seeds rest in the dirt all winter and then pop up again around the garden.  I appreciate them.  Our flowerbeds are sort of wild and crazy this year.
In a little over a week I am going to fly up to Washington State to see my dear mama and my brothers (and their lovely wives).  Flying is very different now.  I can't wait to spend time with my mother in her new house and garden.  What a sweet treat it will be!

August is hot here.  Sometimes it's too hot to eat our dinner outside.  My sinuses tend to ache this time of year.  It's okay.  The visual gift of sun-fed flowers and vegetables is breathtaking.

I hope you are well.  Thank you for popping in to say hello!

I guess we have to be flexible in spirit "these days," even as our bodies are less flexible. :-) I hope your trip goes smoothly!

We are going to be dog sitting for the first time here in our home next week. We hope Reyna isn't too distressed about her humans dropping her off here. Time will tell. How did Timothy feel about this arrangement? Now I'm second guessing myself about the name of your cat...
Glad you get to visit your mama and siblings. Can't say I have much in the yellow world. Maybe a shirt and one dress that doesn't fit me anymore. Have a great Thursday evening!

I love that toothy smile. LOL. My g.grandgirl lost two teeth and loves showing people. :) You actually love beautiful in your yellow cap. I like those marigolds, so hardy. Please be safe on your trip. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

Love all the yellow (or 'lello as I called it as a child.) The first photo of the plant is goldenrod.

You didn't mention what Timothy thinks of the dog. Maybe he's jealous of all the pats he gets.
I have exactly ONE item of clothing in yellow. It's a blouse. Your
yellow baseball cap looks great on you.
My Marigolds don't self-seed. I think the seeds rot over our wet winters.

Wow and my grandpa would say, well you can't eat corn on the cob now. They just grow up to fast. Your flowers are lovely. Its going to be really hot here for awhile.
I am glad you get to go see your Mom. That will be a nice visit.

A sunshiny post, dear Pom Pom. Very soon there will be a sea of yellow in the form of daffodils here. What a sweet pup BT is. Take care whilst you travel to see your family. Have the best time.

I think that hat is cute on you! I like yellow too -- not to wear (it looks horrible on me), but it's such a very cheerful color, and we need cheer in our lives! I painted my kitchen yellow for that reason. Your flowers are bright and wonderful!

Pom Pom you look adorable in everything you wear. I like the yellow cap. I do like the color yellow and yellow was my Mother's favorite color. What a sweet little toothless smile. He is such a cutie pie. Your marigolds are so pretty. I have yellow ones in the garden. BT looks like a nice dog.

I love yellow, but I have to confess, I really don't wear much yellow. It's such a pretty color! It's always hard for animals to adjust to changes, they just don't understand. I'm sure he settled in happily after you gave him so much attention :) Hope you have a wonderful time in Washington, it sure has been hot here, hopefully where you're going it won't be so hot for you. Many blessings to you :)

Yes, I think they're goldenrod. A great allergen, lol. My baseball cap always looks crooked on my head. I've come to the conclusion that my head is crooked, ha ha. I don't have much yellow around my house, but I appreciate all cheerful colors! Enjoy your visit!
