I've been riding Sunshine almost every day. If I ride often, it doesn't hurt my legs (mostly knees) because (duh) I get stronger. I was wondering why I didn't get sore knees when I rode my "no speeds" bike as a child. Silly me.
Gretchen Joanna, do you know what this flower is called? It grew from a wildflower packet that I sprinkled on the Peter Rabbit garden. Is it poison? It looks a bit "haunted house-ish".
We went swimming yesterday morning. I love floating on a noodle. James wanted to show Mommy his skills! He never wants to leave the pool - a true fish!
This patio furniture was on sale at the grocery store. Half off! Well, I didn't realize how much work it would be to put it together. Argh! Bill and I do not want to put anything together EVER AGAIN. Assembling things is a young person's game. Do you think so?
I had to wait until the evening to ride Sunshine last night. It's been in the 90's. Timothy handles the heat just fine. It doesn't stop him from cuddling up for lap naps.
It really is summer now. We have a very noisy cricket living just outside the family room door. He is LOUD. Does anyone know the life span of a cricket? I like him, don't get me wrong. I just thought cricket songs came later on in the summer and when the weather gets colder.
I like hauling water to my pots of flowers. I like giving the tomatoes a big drink. I've been good about filling the bird bath and keeping the feeders stocked. I think it's because I am very grateful for the good outdoors. I love summer so much this year.
Thank you for stopping in to say hello.
What's July looking like for you so far?

Pom Pom, your flower is Borage. You can use the flowers to float in Summer drinks.
The unidentified plant with blue flowers is a Borage plant which is an edible herb.
Timothy looks like a very big sleepy head. He'll keep your lap warm this winter.
We are having rain today, and I will have to stay indoors to clean the house.
Hugs, Julia
It looks like you're enjoying a perfect summer!
I see that your mystery plant has already been identified as Borage. I've had that in my garden in the past.
Your red and white striped Petunias are very pretty.
So is that lovely patterned carry-all bag in the first photo.
Keep cool if you can!
heavy rain this week Pompom in the Surrey area, bbq weather coming next week. Lovely to see you enjoying rides on your bike and gardening.
Your summer looks to be very nice. I love the deal you got on the patio furniture, even if you did have to put it together! Our grands are little fish too. Two of them are coming tomorrow to escape the heat and splash in the pool Your flowers are lovely ours are nicer this year than they have been in a long time. Summertime, and the livin' is easy....
I left a comment here Pom Pom but I'm not sure if it went through okay or not as a box came up that said something went wrong. I will keep a check on your post & if nothing shows up I will write another one. Blogger is doing some funny old things of late. xx
Painting in the park sounds nice.
All the blooms are lovely.
Sounds like you are enjoying summer. : )
OMG, you made me laugh about the furniture assembly. So true girl. I love the little fish boy too. cute. The paintings are very nice and what a fun idea being in the shade, Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Everything looks so lovely and summery! Sunshine is gorgeous. I have a similar bike but she is mint green - I haven't thought to name her though. How mean of me! Your mystery plant is borage. Wonderful plant. All mine died last summer so I need to seed some more. I love your striped petunias; they just look cheerful! Enjoy your summer sunshine!
Love your red white and blue flowers!
I'm a color inside the lines kind of watercolor painter, too. I envy those who have the patience to learn how to do the shading and all, but mine never end up that way. Oh well. It's fun!
Everything is cheerful where Pom Pom dwells!
We're having thunder boomers and lightning where I live. It's late.
I should get to bed.
Thanks for another fun post! :)
Painting in the park sounds so relaxing! Nice work, and pretty table cloth. Good for you, riding your bike. I do miss it. July has been pretty stressful, to be honest. Mysterious health issues are just the worst.
You patio furniture is very pretty! Love the color of the cushions. Thanks to you and Bill for doing the hard work of putting it together, so we can have the pleasure of looking at it :)
Your furniture looks lovely Karen. We have given up buying anything which needs assembling, we are rubbish at it, 🤣🤣 Lovely sunny post. It is cold and rainy here!
Hello dear girl. It looks like you found a lovely spot to paint! I'm definitely a coloring inside the lines kind of artist. Artist being a loose definition. Love the furniture you bought for the patio. Ugh...on putting things together. Lovely flowers! I'm afraid it seems like crickets live for ever or at least their chirping goes on forever! We are enjoying sunshine here and warmth with a little humidity thrown in. Our company drove off to enjoy some friends close by so I'm having a respite. They will return shortly. Happy Summer to you!
It is so hot here! UGH! I long for some cooler days or at least rain. Love the furniture. My hubby was gifts, by me, a =n 8 foot tall windmill. He put the bulk of it together when he was off yesterday. But too much of that tires us out. Hee Hee Hee! Hope your weekend is wonderful and your photos are always terrific. HUGS
I would love to sit in the shade of that tree with you now that I'm retired!!xx
Happy summer to you!! I love all the pics of your lovely life. Hot up here too. But the mornings are my favorite, nice and cool. Enjoy your new furniture! Kit
My nieces love to eat borage flowers and put them in our picnic wraps. I love the idea of watercolors in the park. What fun. Thanks for sharing.
You are livin' the life, Pom! Sounds like you're having a great summer!
I have two Borage plants out front and thought they looked creepy. So glad to know what they are and will keep them! I LOVE painting in the park with you except I still talk too much... is it because I just live with boys and just save it all up? 😂 You were very kind to say my painting is getting better. I’m figuring it out. I truly love your painting - it’s YOU ... your Raggedy Anne card is darling. Love our time this summer!
The flower is Borage! It has a lovely Cucumbery taste!
I am SOOOOO envious of the pool! I miss swimming! I did swim in the river on Sunday but only for 10 minutes!
Your patio furniture is gorgeous! I find furniture-making very traumatising! I find instructions hard!
Painting in the park is such a nice idea!
P.S. Pompom my lovely, I have a Bloggers Art Gallery over on my blog- I'd love it if you wanted to visit!x
Well from your lovely photographs it looks as if you are enjoying a nice summer.
My good wishes.
All the best Jan
