Thoughts of a House Mouse

I thought you might like a bowl of cherries.  Cherries make me feel bloated but I do think they are absolutely gorgeous.  God's fruits.
Don't you love this illustration?  Ernest H. Shepard was a beautiful illustrator.  This one reminds me of that lovely tidy mood that hits me about five times a year.  LOL.  Pooh's legs being used to dry the tea towels.  Rabbit so busy with his wash tub.  Well, it is the cozy season and time to order our homes in preparation of the holiday season.

We had book club this week.  I picked the book and they didn't really like it.  Oh well.  It was one of those afternoons when I run out of steam after throwing myself into cleaning and shining all morning.  It's okay.  I am 61 years old and I don't have the stores of energy I once had.  All that to say . . . there were flowers around and having ladies over to have snacks is always very nice.

English muffin bread and raisin bread.  I think it's time for some Russian tea and a piece of toast. I'm trying to eat things that are easy to digest because it's time for my routine procedure (you know the one that requires cleansing) and it's scheduled for Tuesday.  Oh well.
When I had Lynn and her husband here and then our Australian friend, I used little pitchers for their milk when they were having tea.  I just dump my chosen creamer into my mug (straight from the refrigerator), but it was kind of fun to be fancy.
Why don't YOU stop in for tea?
I didn't have as much sewing to do for Kelli's upcoming productions because she has many very generous helpers now.  I still put it off and put it off and finally prayed that God would give me huge verve to sew.  He did!  Both Sam and Lizzy play the same role (in two different casts).  So I made just one costume for them.  Aren't they cute?  I had to make the mayor of Whoville's costume, too.  And Mrs. Mayor.  All done now!  YAY!

I may have shown you this before but Timothy has a thing for the shower drain and I think it's so funny how he paws at it, loosens it, and then takes it away (in his mouth!)
It's snowing today and he's cold.  I hope we can still drive to our small group tonight. The roads might be bad.  I love our small group peeps. They are young and full of love. Listening to them speak fills me with hope.

God be with you, kind reader.  I'm not sure who is coming for Halloween, but I'll take photos of the little darlings that DO come.
Have you eaten any Halloween candy yet?
Do you like donuts and apple juice?
What do you have for dinner on Halloween night?
Thank you so much for popping in.

So nice to see what you have been doing. I had no idea that Tim did that to your shower. How funny. Your girls look great. You are a great sewing person.

Hello there. How's the weather in town? We supposed to go to Denver, but changed our plans. I understand about low energy. At 72, some days I really have to work at it. I do love the dark cherries; I'll have handful, thank you. Wishing a fine week.

Funny Timothy! Do you find that shower drain in all sorts of odd places?
Taking the time to pour milk (or cream) into a pretty jug makes a big difference and I am going to make a point of doing just that. I'll have a chance in 3 hours when youngest son and oldest GD come to play Dominoes here.
Good luck to you for Tuesday :(

Timothy is so adorable! (As are the human children!) I haven't had much sewing "verve" in years, but I did manage to get some mending done for a friend a couple months ago. On the other hand, I *always* have tea "verve." :-)

Isnt it funny that your cat plays with the drain cover! Maybe he thinks he is helping you!

You did present tea (and everything else) so elegantly. I usually just put the milk straight in my mug too. Stay warm. Great outfit, you are clever. Good luck Tuesday. x

Cherries... yes please. 😁
How I would love to sit over a cup of tea with you, and oh my... what mug shall I choose? 🤔
Your candy, especially those m&men's look so pretty, and no, I have not had any Halloween candy as of yet.
We have no neighbors so no trick or treaters here.
Snow... ours is soon to appear, tonight they say and tomorrow through Tuesday.
Right now is very cold!

Your kiddos are always so darling ♡

Timothy is great amusement! It is fun to be fancy sometimes. I haven't eaten any Halloween candy yet, but I will! I love donuts, but not apple juice. I prefer apple cider. We usually have pizza for Halloween dinner.

I have no traditional dinner plans on Halloween. It is usually a "snacky night" but now that my youngest is 16 (going on 17) I am not sure what Halloween evening looks like. A movie and popcorn, probably.

Enjoy the colors and comforts of the season, dear Pom!

I just had a little chocolate because today is national chocolate day! I didn't know until it was almost too late!
Your little pitchers are so cute. I love a little tea party with friends. Wish I could come over and enjoy a cuppa with you!

Oh those cherries sure look good. I love cherries.
The M & M's are so nice and colorful.
We don't get any kids for Halloween here in the woods. They all stay in town. Don't have to buy any candy so no, haven't eaten any. : )

Sooo...you have two blogs now? I tried to comment on the knitter one. Don't know if that worked. Like Happy One we don't get trick or treaters. Our little grands will stop by so I'll have something to give them. On Halloween I'll be heading to Spokane to pick up one of my sisters from California who will be visiting for 5 days. Cute little vest you sewed!

What a sweet lovely post! How I would love to sit down and sip tea with you... what is Russian tea? I don't think I've ever had it. Oh that Timothy, what a character he is! Darling costumes you've made, you are amazing with that sewing machine! It's winter here now, about 28 degrees outside now, but this morning it was 8 degrees when I walked, brr! I am enjoying watching the birds at the feeder. They don't seem to mind the cold weather at all :) I wish you well with your procedure. I don't eat much sugar any more, so no apple juice or donuts for me... blessings to you sweet friend!

Timothy is a kick! What a boy... I love watching cat videos, they are so often hilarious. But I don't even need a video to imagine what you've described, and it makes me laugh out loud.

I'm dying to know what book you chose that "they" didn't like.

so lovely to see your latest post, hope you and your family have fun at Halloween. We will be having stuffed peppers (stuffed with Quorn, not sure if you have in the US it's a micro protein for vegetarians that looks like minced beef, seasoned with garam masala and cooked in the capsicum pepper shells in the oven, with rice, colourful.

I'm glad to see someone else loves to collect coffee mugs! I'd love to stop by for coffee or tea! And, yes, I pour my creamer straight from the bottle in the fridge, too. :) I love the Pooh illustration. I wonder if we have the same book. My only trick or treaters were the grands from next door. I'll just have to finish that bag of mini-Snicker bars myself! Hope your procedure went well.
