I hope you have a wonderful day of red, chocolates, tender love, and maybe flowers!
Oh, and maybe WOOL, too!
Do you remember a special Valentine's Day? I remember one year when I was a teenager my mom gave me a hot water bottle. Is there anything as cozy as a hot water bottle? I don't think so.
God bless you, sweet lover of others. YOU are greatly loved.

This post reminds me of a piece I heard today on Morning Edition. Poet Kwame Alexander had given a prompt, "Love Is..." for students to write their poems. Then he made a big poem from all the entries with sentences from many. Love was a LOT of things to these folks -- and to you and me too! Happy Valentine's Day!
I loved all your pretty pictures. Your nails are beautiful too. Blessings to you on this day of love, xoxo, Susie
your home is just made for Cheer and Valentines day!!! God bless you dear one!!! Have great day!
If I remember correctly hot water bottles came in a lovely red colour so perfect for Valentine's day. I have a friend who still uses a hot water bottle on these cold winter nights. I prefer my electric blanket!
Your Amaryllis is beautiful!
I love that!! How nice to have a hot water bottle. I bet you wanted it right? All of your red is wonderful on this post.
Have a lovely Valentines Day!
Happy Valentine's Day! I love all your pictures--even you yarn! lol I think my best Valentine's Day was getting together with the grandkids when they were little to make Valentines. xo Diana
A cosy hot water bottle does it for me. =) Happy Valentine's Day, beautiful Pom Pom♥
I always love a hot water bottle until it leaked all over my bed when I was very sick. Now I use a custom made Magic Bag that I heat in the microwave and it's so comfortable on a cold night.
Happy Valentine Day. I got a kiss today.
Enjoy your evening and stay cozy with your hot water bottle.
Lots of pretty red pictures for Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
It's no wonder your posts are so warm and friendly and special. Your mom giving you a hot water bottle was special. You are loved too! Happy Valentine's Day
I love the orange wool next to the green dresser! And those gloves are great! Happy Valentines Day, my friend! :)
you prompted me to do a valentines post myself! I think the rose petal carpet was the best gift but I didn't appreciate it at the time! my next best gift is a heart shaped pebble my youngest boy found on the beach and kept for me.
I do so love the love you share here, PP! I love heat sources too. My current favourite is our, environmentally unacceptable, electric blanket on which I stretch like a cat every night just now at 9.30pm! I got some red sock wool a few weeks ago, thinking that my first ever pair of completed socks would be off their little needles and that I'd make some sock heart5s. Not so! But it is LOVEly yearn.
Love it all!
I hope your whole weekend is full of red, chocolate, hearts and LOVE!
My best Valentine gift was made by my youngest at school about 20 years ago - a lovely little red felt heart which he even zig-zagged machine-stitching around the edges. I keep it in a frame and it brings back lovely memories whenever I look at it. The days when your children really needed you! I sent you a card through Ravelry. They were doing a 'special feature' for Valentine's!Happy Weekend to you.(love that yarn)
I was wondering where the hot water bottle was going to come in as I scrolled through your post. That was a memorable gift for sure. When we traveled in England we got a knitted cover for a hot water bottle. Have you knitted a cover for yours?
I just love your heart shaped door! I hope you had a wonderful holiday.:) Kit
So fun to get your comment on my blog! After a year with very little margin I'm finally getting a big of margin back and that might just mean returning to the blogging world a bit more frequently!!!! YAY! Good thing there is also instagram!
So many sweet things on here and beautiful flowers.... makes me so ready for Spring! Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Jill
I would love to have sweet peas for Valentine's Day -- you don't have them, surely? But a hot water bottle truly would be even more comforting, in this wintry February we're having.
