Some Color and Bird News

 Hello!
The throw quilts came so I hung them up in our bedroom.  I love the clip curtain rings because it's so easy to change things a bit. They are a little bright, but I like them a lot.

I am taking a knitting vacation, and it is really helping my tendons and muscles.  It's worth it because I DO need my arms to keep house and such (LOL).  I can cross stitch instead, but I am very out of practice.  I'm an old school cross stitcher anyway.  I don't like squinting to see linen or trying not to pull too tight with each stitch.  I need the remedial BIG Aida cloth just as a first grader needs manuscript paper.
Baa!  Baa!  Aren't the sheep on my mug silly?
Here is our baby petty pet.  He's such a cuddle bug.  He trusts us completely. Bill says he wants to be constantly watching God like Timothy constantly watches us.  I do, too.

We've had a quiet Sunday.  We went to church, but then we came home to do things here.  I had some computer work to do and I watched Brad's sermon on Youtube.  I took a nap on the sofa with the space heater close by.  I do get cold in January.  I'm convinced it's because of where the sun is in the sky.  Soon we'll have a warmer house.
I still haven't made it to the swimming pool.  Do you think that once I go for the first time that maybe I'll be more exuberant about it?  I hope so.
I sure hope you have an uplifting week.
I hope you feel the joy of all the little things you are blessed to have in front of you.
I hope you laugh and smile a lot.
Thank you for stopping in to say hello!

PS:  Finn's parakeets laid four eggs and three hatched!  Now they are growing feathers and peeping away.  Amazing, huh?

Congrats on the new little baby birds in your family! That's exciting! Plus, it's cheaper than buying new pets, right? :)
Good for you, taking a break from knitting. I love it too, but it's so hard on the hands. My thumbs never have recovered from too much crocheting, but they are better. Stay warm out there and remember than bright sunny days are coming whey you can plant things in your beds in the yard.

I am cold too!

I think your reasoning for the cold days in Januarysounds like a winner.
January is such a dull drab month, one has to find what works for them to get through it. I just purchased myself some gorgeous tulips yesterday to brighten up my kitchen.

How wonderful, little baby birds! Well they should certainly put joy in your heart..♡

Have a terrific week ~

I've decided to leave knitting aside for a while, and do more embroidery for a bit. I love holding all the brightly coloured silks in my hand as you have done - they glow like jewels. Have a blessed week dear friend

I'm so happy to know that the eggs hatched and you have healthy baby birds. I don't know if I've ever heard of that happening with pet birds before and I think that's really fun and cool! Finn must love it. I definitely find my house colder in January because the sun is lower in the sky and even when it's fully sunny out, the heat still comes on all day long. I hope you're enjoying cross-stitching. I love it myself and I agree with you, Aida cloth is the way to go. I've done some pieces on linen but it's sooo hard. I hope you have a great week!

How wonderful to have three new baby parakeets. It will be quite interesting to see them grow. I wish you had photos of them.

Your bright curtains look very nice. I used to embroider pillowcases when I was a young girl. Haven't done that in many years but I did cross stitch and needed a pair of magnifying glasses that hooked on top of my head to see.

Your beautiful sweaters should keep you warm. I'm wishing for warmer weather as I don't do well in the cold either.
Take care and stay warm.
Hugs, Julia

Now that is very cool to have baby parakeets. I love your pictures and your words. It always makes me so happy. I hope you have a nice day.
Timothy is such a wonderful cat. I think what Bill said is so cool. I wish I did too.
Cute mug. Have a lovely day my friend.

Beautiful colors, a sheep mug and the divine Timothy. What is not to love here?!

I've never seen baby parakeets! Glad you are giving your tendons a little rest since they are letting you know they need rest. Keeping our eyes on Jesus is a good goal, especially following through in obedience. Hope you have a beautiful week!

Oh my goodness! I had parakeets that kept laying eggs a few years ago but nothing ever came of them, sadly. How exciting!!! I love you beautiful new bright curtains. We all need something fresh and bright in the Wintertime.
Everything about Timothy is perfectly precious.
Knitting break... you enjoy that my sweet friend... that's not in my radar anytime in this century...
Love to you,
Danette

How cool that the eggs hatched.
The cross stitch that I just finished was done 6 count Aida cloth. That is pretty BIG. It was for a sign though so it needed be be big.

Newly hatched parakeets must be adorable. That is so neat. Timothy reminds me so much of our Dumperoo. I rarely sit down that he doesn't jump into my lap, and I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I am smothering. Then I realize Dumper is sleeping beside me, pinning me down with the covers. Tabbies are the most loving cats.

I really love the quilt behind your headboard. When I finish all my remodeling I should work on my bed situation, and try to remember this that long!!!

This is the time of year that I pick up knitting or crocheting, it's nice to have something warm to hold or lay on your lap. BUT by the time I'm done the weather has started warming up.

What a great kitty face! I love your pops of color. I am taking a short break from my Kindle. The way I hold it causes my left arm to get sore. Geeze! On the big computer and I must say it is more enjoyable to type on. Did you get all the snow? We have tons! :) Kit

I love your quilt curtains! I ordered a bright red kantha quilt. It's twin size, so it's more of a coverlet, but the floral side is so cheery, and the red side is beautiful, too. I wish I lived close to a pool, but it's a 12 mile journey to the nearest one. I think I'd enjoy swimming laps. Stay cozy, my friend!

quilt curtains are a brilliant idea, lovely and warm and very pretty. I would love to see a pic of the baby parakeets. I am feeling grateful for my new winter coat and willies as we have snow coming to the UK. Also grateful for salad - I have found a new supply at a different supermarket that has just so much variety in such a small box - I wonder how they manage to produce all this stuff in Europe in mid winter and get it to us in such good condition! I only wish though they would reduce the plastic packaging. Grateful for flowers, heating, family time. xxx

Hi Pom Pom! I understand the need to give your hands a break from knitting, but cross stitch sounds hard to me. I guess if you do the larger size, that might not be too bad. I'm sewing a jeans quilt for my niece. A winter thing to do. Soon it will be lambing time. God bless you, Friend.

I like your new curtains. So cheerful. I need the larger Aida Cloth too. Takes the joy out of it when it is too hard to see. Love the Baa Baa cup. My parents use to raise sheep and I loves feeding the rejects bottles. We use to have a cat similar to that color. Enjoy your cozy house in his cold weather. Nancy

I like your Bill's way of thinking! Good to see you in this new year. I love the cute sheep on your mug. I am forever finding new mugs. They are thinking of locking me away so I can't buy anymore hee hee hee! IN fact, I renewed my Precious Moments club membership after years of a long absent. I am headed there to pick my new mug that comes with my purchase. Shhhh.....don't tell ok?
Birds, like all God's creations are wonderful aren't they? I Am going to have a few mini scones I bought at the store and settle in with a late cup of something good and warm. The bread and jam looks yummy. Reminds me of Bread and Jam for Frances the sweet children's book. I still read that one when the grands come over. HUG and LOVE
