It's snowing today and everything outside is white. School was not delayed. I like to check my district website to see if all schools are closed. I think I might be able to remember that elated feeling I used to get when they'd call a snow day! Ha ha ha! I do feel good on snowy days. I even scrubbed the shower tiles while I was taking my shower. Yesterday I was very tired because Timothy jumped on Bill's face about 1:30 am. YIKES! I felt nap-ish all day.
I did go for a walk along the ridge even though I felt sleepy. Winter is very brown here in Colorado as you can plainly see.
This morning called for a Youtube fire. Tim peered out the window.
Yesterday I wasn't going to knit, thinking I'd give my knitting muscles a tiny break. I still reached for some works in progress and added some pink to this pretty scarf.
This is my first attempt at Norwegian mitten knitting. I made a few mistakes, but even so I think it is beautiful. Now on to the second mitten (yikes).
I smell the stew meat in the oven. Stew is a great January snow day meal.
Thank you answering my January questions and leaving such fine comments. I think I'll go a visiting around blog world right now.

On cold days I also like to put on a youtube fire. I like to hear the crackle and the glow even though I know it's not real. Those will be awesome mittens. You have good knitting skills. Enjoy your stew. Yummy! ♥

Those Norwegian mittens are gorgeous! You are so talented! We are having quite a strange winter here too, not much snow, although we did get a nice snowstorm Sunday night. I love to cook stew during the winter, makes the house smell so wonderful! I have never used a youtube video for a fire, sounds comforting! Blessings and hugs :)

The mittens are so pretty. I would love to knit or even crochet...think I've said that a dozen times already. Winter may be brown there but your posts are always warm and pretty.

No wonder you feel nappish, that was a rude awakening at 1:30 am, lol...
We have lots of snow from this last snowstorm and the fire is crackling in the wood stove. It's very cold outside and a Youtube fire wouldn't work here... It -16 ℃ and feels like -25 ℃
or 5℉ and feels like -13℉.
I love your Icelandic mitten, it looks like a lot of work.

Those mittens are pretty and look very challenging. Here it's mild, not feeling seasonal at all - I long for snow, a cold snap - a reason to wear wellies and warm scarves. We have weather warnings ahead of snow so am hopeful.
Stew is a great January snow day, or cold day, meal.

I always enjoy the first mitten or sock, and not so much the second one :) Your Norwegian mitten is stunning - love the pattern! Yes, it's a brown time of year. We do still have greenery in the grass -- weeds and herbs and such, but we are in a warmer zone than you. Cold today. Be sure to get in your dosages of tea, naps, and fireside, Pom :)
