A Redhead and a Pixie

I was looking through photos on my overloaded phone and found this BRAVE girl and a pretty little mermaid.
It was a while ago (years, actually) and one day while cleaning up the dress up stuff at Kelli's I tried on the wig.  Hmmm. NOT a redhead.

One reason I scroll through all my photos is because I want to see flowers.  It's very brown around here and I am already flower-hungry.  Argh!  It's only January!

So, those flower photos are for you just in case you are feeling flower-hungry today.

I started this sweater 30 or so years ago for our Kelli and now it is finally finished for her youngest Millie Rose.  That took a while, didn't it?

Tim loves my fluffy robe (dressing gown for those of you across the sea).  Look at that bliss.  He's peaceful.
I was in Denver (we live in the burbs) the other day and I gave this pixie a ride home.

I found a doll bed at an antique shop (50% off!) and it's perfect for Miss Bug's baby doll.  Her birthday is on Groundhog Day by the way.  Anyway, I am going to cozy it up with pillows and quilts.
The pixie wants to live here.  I named her Butterhorn because she's from Denmark (you know, she's Danish).  The grands think she's a little ridiculous looking, but I don't.
Tim is not impressed.  He ignores her completely.  It makes sense because he is always pleased when the grandkids go home.  He is spoiled and doesn't want to share his humans with others. We do love pampering him.  He's the perfect pet.

It's sunny and warm today, but on Sunday it will be very cold and 3-7 inches of snow will come our way.  More coziness.
I had better go out and walk around the neighborhood.  Maybe I'll go down to the open space where it isn't so sidewalk-y.
I hope you are having a happy day and that you enjoy your weekend.
Thank you very much for stopping in to check on me.  (xoxoxo)

Cute girls! Congrats on the sweater!

Don't you just love those vintage stickers they used to put on baby and doll beds? So sweet!

Our kitty is happiest when company leaves, too! Happy weekend!

The girls are adorable, and I do love your doll. My cat is happiest when the grands and their parents go home also. She is kind of the queen of the place, and actually is a rude one to boot. Have a nice Sunday!

The girls look so cute and your quite fetching as a red head. I still have roses blooming and Cloemie and Bells of Ireland, which are spring/summer flowers. Everything is so confused with our crazy weather. The gardeners are dead heading my roses and I need to get out there and put chicken poop on them.

Our weather has turned a little chilly for here. If it's 65 I am cold LOL.

Have a great weekend and stay warm.

Hugs,
Mary

I'm craving flowers too, this has been a rough winter. On these cold, dreary days I wish I could find a patch of sunshine and curl up for a nap... just like Timothy! Happy weekend!

Your Butterhorn is cute; I wonder if I would have been able to leave her at the store. Probably not.
The wild red wig gives you quite a snazzy look!

Hello Pom Pom ... I do love your new Pixie! I look forward to seeing you make over the dolls bed with cushions etc... I did laugh as Miss Pippi always comes inside when the grandchildren go home & looks at me as if to say "has that kid gone home now??!!!" she is spoilt too Xxx Bless Timothy.

Oh, I don't know, I think you make a gorgeous red head! Pretties that take forever to make are always the best. Butterhorn looks perfectly home and as for the antique doll bed....gorgeous!

Way to go on finishing up that sweater! It would have been lost at this old house. Fun red heads. That little doll crib is very cute and will be a great gift. Stay warm and cozy once that snow arrives!

No, I don't think that wig does anything for you! LOL Flowers are so pretty and even though more snow is forecast for us also it won't be that long until spring! Welcome to your pixie doll! Nancy

Are you sure you're not a redhead?? All those red curls look kinda cute on you. That is a sweet little doll bed. It will be so pretty made up with pillows and blanket.

Nope, you're definitively not a redhead!!!I love your hair the way it is. I asked my hairdresser on Friday how long it would take for my grey to come in completely and she said about a year!!!I'll just keep dyeing it in the meantime! Those little 'ginger' folk are adorable as is your new dolly. I'm glad you rescued her.xxxx

What a perfect little doll crib! She'll love it!
Isn't it scary when your grandkids think your toys are silly? LOL!
I'm so glad you feel free to be yourself.
BTW, I think you do red hair pretty well. I think its the wig that needs a little "adjusting".
Congratulations on finishing the sweater! You are so patient!
Stay warm and watch out for slippery spots on your walks! :)

Your flowers are lovely. You are having very cold weather! Brrr. It is cold here but not any snow just in the mountains.
I love those cute red heads. All of them.
Tim is funny. While we were gone, Elliot was taking care of animals.
He never saw our Stripey until we got back. He hid the whole time.
I like your doll. I think its pretty and I like your doll bed.

I guess you have got your snow by now! I think your dolly is charming - it's alway's interesting to see what the children take to, isn't it?

I know you are staying cozy in your space and in your attitude. Just thinking about what it must be like in your house makes me feel comfortable and content. Love, G

You look fab in the wig! Ha ha, I am glad you finished the jumper at last! I am sure that the little miss will be pleased with the cot for the doll!

Thanks for the English translation of Robe!!

The doll bed is perfection! She will love it. It looks like a REAL bed, and it's not plastic or teeny tiny. Perhaps Timmy needs his own blog? You have such good photos of him. My son started a little website just for his photos of his dog, Charlie (who is so handsome). I love to go there and have a little Charlie visit :)

Wow what a doll, long everything. Tim, precious boy. You saying Robe, Dressing gown (I call it) reminded me, my husband said Housecoat once. I don't know where he heard it called that. I call it that sometimes to tease him. Have a nice time, Cathy x
