Our Jenny went to Disneyland (with her sweet hubby) for her golden birthday (she turned 29 on the 29th). I stayed with the girls. It was fun the first day but the second day brought barfing. Oh no! Yes, poor babies. Isn't Lizzy funny as she body slams Amelia? Amelia is very tough.
This one's life is much easier. He always has access to a lap or a soft spot to snooze. He never gets squished.
Kelli's Halloween costume is so amazing! Have you seen Hocus Pocus? Pretty good lookalike, I say!
I've been dabbling in this book again. So delicious.
I walked down to the post box and the bank today. Cold. Today it is 30 degrees but by Wednesday it will be 70 again. Weird.
So, this is the closest I will get to being nature-y today.
Here are a few nature journal posts:
Marcie (I'm not sure if I already featured this post but it's LOVELY)
Heather (she's always doing cool things with her kids!)
Granny Marigold (her autumn photos are golden)
I can't believe it's almost November. October went fast for me.
I've been knitting and getting my sewing corner ready so I can start making my own clothes.
I have been looking through my cross stitch stash and arranging wool for a mixed color cardigan.
I hope you feel ready for November and I hope you have some creative plans.

Hi Karen, it was fun to see the costumes. I hope the kids are feeling better by now, poor them and poor you! Stay warm, and enjoy your Halloween!
Missed you!!I love Hocus Pocus! What great costumes the girls are wearing. When I watched Larkrise to Candleford on the BBC a few years back, I wanted to live there! It's so enchanting and I love the Postmistress in it.Have a crafty November.xxx
Beautiful fall leaves. We have nothing like those here. I hope the littles get to feeling better soon. The costumes are quite fun!
Happy Halloween!
Oh I truly want to see the clothes you make for yourself. I used to dream of making my own wardrobe. I did a lot of sewing when I was young and my daughters were very young. I loved seeing your pictures. The cats are so cute. The costumes are amazing. Yes, crazy ups and downs in our weather. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
Oh those leaves are so pretty.
I'm not much good with sewing machines!! and I admire those who are.
No, I've never seen Hocus Pocus but those costumes look great.
I love your fall leaves! Are you tired? Your voice sounds tired in your post. Its funny isn't how even our written words can say things. Barfing is no fun.
I can't believe its that cold today. Nice though when it warms up to 70 this week.
I have missed you. Ron started working a second job and so he is in our office. I end up having to do other things and be quiet. :)
I might get lots of project done.
I am so glad you sent an update.
Autumn leaves are just so pretty. Again today I came home with a large handful. My heavier books all are bulging with leaves being pressed.
Lark Rise to Candleford is one of my favourites. This winter I will reread it also another book by the same author and just as interesting called Still Glides the Stream. Are you familiar with it?
Sewing your own clothes will be a blast. You can have exactly what you want instead of being at the mercy of whatever the stores carry.
I wish you a wonderful week!!
Amelia is well loved! Love your Kelli's costume, and you are right, it's a very good likeness! I love your leaf photos, very pretty. I used to make my own clothes, but haven't done so in years. I can't wait to see what you make, maybe it will inspire me to sew again. I agree that the weather has been insane. October did go by fast, but I'm looking forward to some "hunker down" days in November. Have a great week!
Your autumn leaves look beautiful dear Pom Pom ... just love those colours. Hello to Timothy from Pippi & Blackie Xxx
The picture of Lizzy and Amelia is so cute...Amelia looks fine. :) The fall leaves are pretty. You always have the sweetest pictures!
Can't wait to see the clothes you make! I can sew quilts, but not clothes.
Happy Halloween!

I love visiting you and other bloggy friends and seeing the winter preparations everyone is making. Like a bunch of little critters storing up sustenance for the long cold season ahead. There is so much creativity and warmth in this group of bloggers. Very inspiring!
I'm not good at keeping up on theme-y things either. My attention span is too short and I find another carrot-on-a-string to run after. Do what you love! Life's short and the internet contains more ideas than we can possibly persue. ;)
God bless you and yours. I hope everyone is feeling better!
The colours you have captured in the Autumn leaves are amazing as are those stunning Halloween costumes!!!
Lizzy and Amelia are both very cute.
Have a fantastic week and enjoy your sewing :)
Dear Pom - please do NOT let the journaling prevent you from blogging. I come looking for your posts, and it doesn't matter if you have an autumn journal page done or not! Those autumn leaves are so pretty, they don't even look real - all the varied colors on them. I have not seen Hocus Pocus, nor heard of it - sounds fun, and I will go check. Your posts always remind me of what I really want to be doing: yarn, sewing, nature, beauty, reading. I want to revisit Candleford as well. It's been too long. And when I see photos of your Timmy, it makes me want a loungey cat SO badly :( If I could become unallergic, I would go find me a kitty to spoil right away!!
Poor Amelia! It's a good job she's quite robust :-) Hope the little ones are OK now. X
I went to Macy's yesterday for the first time in a year or more to look at the clothes, and I also thought I need to make my own!
Your leaves are beautiful. Fall is the time to snuggle even more with Timothy!
October did go fast. The Hocus Pocus costume is spot on. Hope the babies get better soon.
xx Beca
And just like that October is gone in the wind and covered with leaves! What a fun idea to go to Disneyland without kids! :)
Sorry about the bugs. Yep, that costume is right on the mark! Hope November is a terrific month for you and yours!
Yes, you Timothy has a much calmer lifestyle, doesn't he. Fabulous costumes. It is always fun to see the costumes you in the USofA dream up. Down here, we don't seem to get enthused over Halloween. As for you blogging, lovely Pom Pom, it is always delightful to read about your lovely life.
Pretty photos and everything looks great in their fall colors.
Sounds like your always so busy.
Have a great weekend.
Mary
I have to read that book someday. It sounds simply wonderful.
Happy week!
Thanks for including a link! I thought I'd try to regularly post about nature and now I haven't. That's the way it goes, isn't it!!!! Too many other things. I'm working like crazy on three different classes -- the nature journaling, my kid's History of Christmas class, and the Paint Your Cake and Eat it Too high school class I'm teaching in January. Too much fun, but too little time.....
