Garden Riot and a Lazy Cat

It's finally that time when the flowers go crazy!  There are a few dirt spaces in the front garden, but isn't it interesting how the blooms are heaving out of the beds?

Tim has already started hibernating.  It's a little too soon, Tim.
Today my knitting (a sock) matches my blouse.
We moved out of the little house below (too hot) and some other somebodies moved in (beetles).
 Round #2 of California poppies!
Morning glories, poppies, and pansies find their way into empty space.
I WILL remember to share seeds with someone else next spring.  Squash. Squash. Squash.
One of the wildflower seed bags produced a favorite - Shirley POPPIES!  Woo hoo!
A little more rain, please.  The nasturtiums were late to the garden party.
Everyone loves the zinnia!  She's so proud and tall!

All the marigolds volunteered.

A little Tim place marker inserted here.

Can any of you garden girls tell me if it's okay to cut zucchini leaves?  Seriously, they invade.
This is my neighbor's lovely sea lavender.
One green "Envy" zinnia popped up in the old Peter Rabbit garden.

I don't think I showed you the lemon bunting.

Bill took the crooked door off of the Wendy house, so I am going to make a curtain door.  We still have toddler Noah left to enjoy the wee homey home.

Thank you for viewing my August blooms.  Did you watch the eclipse (USA)?  One of my friends said that a news commentator on one of the main networks kind of got choked up when it occurred.  I think God's big doings in the solar system (the universe, too!) are pretty mind boggling to us little humans.  I aim to look a little closer, stop longer.  I must make a plan and start that nature journal soon.
God bless you.  Thanks for visiting again!

Your place is filled with blossomy lusciousness, Pom Pom. Your Tim really does have the best life, doesn't he. He always has the feel of perfect relaxation.

Your garden riot is amazing. Love it. Right now I can relate to Tim and his hibernating. Your California Poppies are fabulous. Love the Zinnia. The lemon bunting is great. God bless you too dear Pom Pom.

What a glorious riot of colour in your garden today dear Pom Pom. Thank you for sharing it on this grey day. I wish I had Timothys life!!!

I love your flower photos. My gardens (flower and veggie) were an epic fail this year. The weather was not at all cooperative with weeks of rain followed by weeks of no rain. So I appreciate being able to enjoy your beautiful gardens!

So many pretty flowers and the colors are stunning. I started a gardening journal and took pictures and put them in dated all my notes and comments. You should start one as you have so many pretty flowers.

Timmy is really taking advantage of all the wonderful places to take a nap.

Have a great weekend. We are expecting HOT HOT weather again starting Saturday, ugh

Hugs,
Mary

Gorgeous garden! Your poppies are wonderful! The grey squirrel's eat up my poppies so I've given up planting them.
Your Tim is precious and has a wonderful life in deed. It's always nice to see well loved pets. ♡
God bless you~

Your flowers are amazing; the volunteer Marigolds are absolutely lush. Your zucchini is also pretty amazing. I don't think it will harm the plant to cut off some leaves, just not too many. I've had to cut off many Nasturtium leaves and even stems because they are trying to take over!!
We didn't have much effect from the eclipse. It got dusky out and a bit cooler but really it wasn't like some of the photos I've seen.

Your garden is just stunning! I love how colorful every thing is. Your kitty is so cute and so lazy. :)
Your sock is a nice color too. So what are you doing today?

Wow wha wonderful gardens you have. Beautiful.
My gardens have hit the down side now, and lots of things are turning brown. Still have lots of sunflowers though.

Oh your flowers are incredible! So gorgeous and healthy. I have gotten away from a lot of flowers but then I see yours and think, hey I want me some of them! We had a little eclipse party and I was like a little kid, totally in awe and wonder. It was wonderful! You have a Wendy House! That was my daughters favorite song they would have me sing when they were little. :) Kit

Your place is so pretty and cheery. A nature journal would be a great idea! Gotta add it to the list, lol. :)
God's nature is amazing!

I love your color explosion! The blooms are spectacular. Personally, I would snip off a few zucchini leaves...especially if it is you or them. ;)

I think we should have a little challenge to begin the nature journal on the first day of autumn? What do you think? Are you starting before then?

Happy day, my friend!

WoooHoooo! Your flowers are spectacular!! They look like they are trying to come in the back door. Just beautiful.

I think you could whack off a few leaves from those zucchini. They really do invade. If they die off, I'm sorry.

Yes, Tom and I watched the eclipse. It was our anniversary and we were golfing in the Black Hills. We went to the club house just as it was happening and all of us there passed around a welding helmet and watched as it went to about 95% eclipse where we were. AMAZING. Yes, God does things BIG that can even make network news. Thankful for that one.

All your flower photos were lovely, but your marigolds!!! They're amazing! I supposed you may cut whatever off of your zucchini that you want. They look pretty happy :) It feels like fall here today, and that makes me happy. Cooler air (for a day or two), and some of the leaves are weary and falling. Tim is sweet as ever. Ooo - send me some squash seeds. I'll send you some coriander!

Your garden is looking positively heavenly, especially those abundant marigolds! Do you do anything with them? My Mum uses them to make a Marigold balm which is good for insect bites I think! Your courgettes are doing so well too! I have no luck with them!x

the eclipse is a mighty thing, I remember when we had one my oldest was about five and we didn't look at the sky, we watched it all in a puddle of water on the ground - quite magical. I have nasturtiums, you can eat the leaves and flowers, although they aren't that nice. I am babysitting next doors 3 cats while they are out of the country, one looks very like your Tim and I am getting too fond of him, so's Amber.

You're right -- the flowers DO go crazy! And aren't they amazing? I just love this time of year, when the produce is big and the flowers are peaking. Not so much what comes after!

Love your Lazy Bones Kit!
