Ordinary Days Ahead - YAY!

Hi Everyone!  I've been back from Disneyland for a few days, but I've been sort of busy granny-ing and doing my work for Bill.  Finally, some Magic Kingdom pics!  (Well, and some pretty strawberries, tulips, love dishes)

We drove straight to Laguna Beach and Jenny loved the sand and cold ocean.

She bought lots of taffy at the sweet tourist shops.
Disneyland was beautiful again.  One of the days was an especially energy expensive venture - 20,000 steps for chubby ol' Pom Pom.
 Jenny danced with Goofy.
You can tell what Granny likes from the photos I took, can't you?

What I loved most was the joyful time spent with our sweet daughters.  Aw!  It really was incredibly delightful.

The girls were happy to have their mommies home on Friday.
I splurged on tulips the other day.  It's very grey outside and the temps are freezing.  I ordered a warm fleece jacket and a cheap soft coat because I think the winter is going to be around a while.

I hope your January has been good.  Now that I'm home for a long while I plan on placing some markers in my days.  This involves sitting at my desk because Timothy will take a lap if he sees even a small bit of space.  My sister and I are making notecards to remind us that we want to live very healthy lives.  I'm still reading the book of Romans.  I'm reading Thin Within again and my sweet friend Sondra and I are working through Jasona Brown's book Stone by Stone.  I'm reading Robinson Crusoe for book club.  It's kind of slow reading.
I'm knitting on all of my UFO's (unfinished objects).  I think the days ahead are just ordinary days.  I like that, don't you?

I'm with you. I like an 'ordinary day' and they don't happen often enough. Something is always in the works, it seems.
I love all your Disney pictures. I have always loved Disney and the architecture and buildings are just amazing. We are headed there with our son/grandson/dil before the winter is out. So much fun, isn't it? I think our Mr. Toad's Wild Ride has been replaced if I am not mistaken.
Have a great week of 'ordinary days'. xo Diana

Oh, I loved that picture of Mary Poppins, but not as much as the picture of your beautiful self and your lovely daughters!

I'm doing the Whole30. I want to lose weight, but I also want more energy. I already miss my Saturday night pizza, though, and it's still days away from Saturday ...

Aside from today, it's been cool and gloomy here.

I love ordinary days, too!

I like seeing Disney through your eyes. And I especially love the pic of you and your girls! You're beautiful!! I'm glad you get to have some Ordinary Days. I really do love them. I'm gearing up for a week of Grammy Days, keeping 3 girls while their mommy and daddy go to Mexico. Pray for me....if you think of me. Sending LOVE to YOU!

I also love just plain ordinary days, especially if they're SUNNY days.

Do persevere with RC; I loved it so. It's funny, but that Minecraft game with which my boys were quite obsessed reminded me so very much of RC and his resourceful adventures. I am enjoying your tulips shots. It still feels a bit early for them here, but soon it will be my season for red tulips and hot cross buns- how our years turn on pretty domestic details!

I adore Disneyland- we have only been to Paris, and I'm not sure that if I ever afford to render us as far as your great states that theme parks will be top of the priority list, but I love the detail of the theming, and the jaunty music that makes you skip, and the child-like joy you can't help but feel!

Happy end of January, beautiful PP x

Ordinary days are my favorite! I love your photo essay of your adventure with your girls. Especially love the architectural details (some awesome windows and wonky rooflines there!) and LOVE the happy faces. I bet the three of you radiated joy as you moved through the crowds. We need more of that in this world. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Pom Pom, glad to see you back. What a wonderful time you had with your daughters! Looks like the weather was great too.
It has been grey and dreary here too. I noticed some tulips at the grocery store the other day too. Maybe I will pick some up next time Zi go shopping. Yours are beautiful!
Have a good week.

Yes, ordinary days are a good thing, although I did love seeing your extraordinary photos of Disneyland. My January has been a series of allergy events due to the cedar pollen. Without a good freeze it has wreaked havoc with the warm windy days. Looking forward to February!

Yes, I like ordinary days because that is what most of our days are. : )
Looks like a wonderful vacation.
Strawberries and cucumbers - I've never had the combination but it sure looks tasty not to mention colorful.

It sounds as if you and your daughters had the most marvelous time. Disneyland reminds me of the place of dreams. Oh how lovely to see Mary Poppins. So happy you bought a bunch of Tulips, they whisper that Spring is not too far away....for you. Ordinary days......they are lovely, though I seem to always find something of the extraordinary within them. =)
