Fun Snaps

Hello!  When I was in Washington my sister in law took me to see the bald eagle tree.  It's out by their country church.  I'm sorry I couldn't get closer, but isn't it quite amazing to see bald eagles gathering like they are on the wintery branches?
Heather from Blackberry Rambles gave me this darling owl (Did I already go on and on about it? If so, sorry!) and Danette from Rose Petal Tea sent me a knitted tree along with my Jane Austen mitts.  Such sweetie pies!

Here's Bill pushing the big red snow blower!
The sisters of The Holy Nativity Convent (remember Susan Branch posted about them?) DO make lovely things!  I ordered this clock for Brad's birthday.  The beeswax candles are lovely, too.  When I light them I will take a photo.  Promise.
My friend Gigi posted about Kuksa cups from Finland.  You can order them on Amazon so I ordered one for Brad.  Don't YOU want one?  Me, too!
I forgot to show you the big sticker Bill gave me at Christmas.
James still likes Kelli's Fisher Price house.  We've had it for 32 years.
April made many cute hats at Christmas!  They come in little "knit it yourself" kits and include the cute animal pom poms!  LOVE!
I've been having fun with my jelly pens.
And the grands are STILL eating candy canes.
I thought you might need a quick brownie batter peek.
 Sweet faces . . .

Since I was gone for five days Tim missed his lap time.  He sat on Bill's lap but I guess I sit around more than he does!  (lol) He was very happy to see me.
Out walking the other day, I spied this tiny pine tree adorned with just one red ball.  Clever.
A cozy spot (very necessary because I'm feeling the winter cold)

Here are my mitts from Danette at FrontPorchKnits!  Her Etsy shop is lovely.  She is a FAST knitter!
 Lovely stripes (smile)

Flying over mountains is the best part of the Denver to Seattle plane flight.
Excuse the telephone wires but this is the sunrise taken from my mom's deck.
And all day every day we watched the swans poke around in the grassy field below Mom's house.
I was thrilled to visit with my brothers, my sweet sister, and my two sisters in law.  Sister in law Sue took me up to Bellingham for a bookstore visit and a shoreline walk.

Noah Joe Joe Joe is growing like a weed.  He's so handsome.  His mommy is very sweet to him.

Meanwhile big brother James played with cousin Plum Cake . . .
And yesterday Plum wanted to play beauty shop.  She did a very nice job!  She said the funniest things like, "Do you like the way I am combing the back of your hair?  This chair is JUST for you and you can sit here next time you come to my shop. Would you like a sticker when I am finished?"
I had been eyeing this hobbit tea set made by BornofFireCeramics on Etsy.  We ordered it and gave it to Brad for his birthday.  He had a very cuppy/potty/muggy birthday this year, didn't he?  He LOVES all things TEA!
Well THAT was all a drink from a fire hose, wasn't it?
Thank you for checking in!
Timothy says, "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

Great visit you had with your family! And Timothy missed you so much. He's a sweet kitty.
Fisher Price toys are so sturdy and timeless. I'm fairly sure we had that house too. All the grands have outgrown those toys now.

Always a joy to come and see what's happening in your little corner of the world.
Your hair turned out quite lovely, and such sweet questions you were asked by your precious hairdresser.
Colorado certainly makes for gorgeous photo shots from the plane in the winter time.

Have a great weekend~~

I have so missed your posts! don't go away now for a very long time!
Bald eagles in a tree was a rare sight I should think. Yes the convent is a very interesting place and i wish i could visit but will look at their online shop, I feel buying from such a special place would be buying into a little piece of their peace if you know what i mean lol. We had snow yesterday, it lasted just the day but was so beautiful. Right now I am cooking Ambercat her fish (her treat is fishy in a dishy on friday but we don't eat fish ourselves so I forgot, now it's being cooked at 7am on a saturday as she reminded me and is standing there waiting for the microwave to beep so I had better stop rambling x). I am so glad you are home. It was very lonely in blog land. That is why it was so special to receive your card. It made me so happy to have it in my hand and to put that lovely Minion on the fridge. Every time I looked at it or read your card I thought of you and prayed for you. I love the swans and the bald eagles. How cool. I loved the beauty shop experience you had. I bet it was wonderful.
I bet Tim missed you. I hope you have a lovely weekend. I have missed lots of good sitting this week.
I love your beautiful red mitts.

Wow what great photos - all of them. Such a nice newsy post. I sure enjoyed my visit with you.
How nice to see so many eagles in one tree.
Nice clock with easy to see big numbers.
I just threw away about a dozen candy canes!!
Welcome home.

That WAS kind of like a drink from a firehose! But I sure enjoyed the dousing! :)
So much good stuff! I loved the Finnish cup and the tea set.
Your dollhouse reminds me of one we've had for about 20 years. Ours is Sesame Street, and the grands never tire of playing with it.
We have a lot of swans and eagles in our area, but they never cease to fill me with awe.
Thanks for all the chatty and cheerful news of your household! :)

So many, many interesting things! The Eagle Tree was fascinating. I like your "Be Filled With Joy" sticker and the fancy knit hats on your tots. Someone was very clever to make a Charlie Brown Tree with that one red ball! (I like it)
So glad you had a good time with your mom and sibs. And it's nice to know you're home and cuddled in with Bill and Timothy.

God bless!
