People Joy

Hi sweet visitors!  We're back from the wedding and my mom has been a delightful guest here at our house.  She'll be here for 4 more days.  Yay!
The hydrangeas in Washington are so stunning.  I'm so hydrangea deprived.
My sister and brother in law walked the old neighborhood with me.  I wish I had a pear tree in my front garden, don't you?
The wedding venue was wonderful.  There were gardens and chickens!
There was a cozy place for the wedding party to hide.
The bride wanted vintage dishes full of flowers as centerpieces and my sister in law's lovely tablecloths added to the beauty.
 The joyful groom
 The lovely bride
 Glads from my brother's house
When I returned the cucumber beds were groaning with future pickles.
I used Kim's (Field of My Dreams) pickle recipe.  She's so nice to answer my texts.  Our refrigerator is full of blue jars!  My mom cut up all the fat cucs.
Can you see Great Grandma Jo in the picture?
Here she is!  James had her undivided attention inside the Wendy house!
 They enjoyed a garden chat.
The weather has cooled and today should be just right.  Yay for coffee and fun conversation!
Things will quiet down next week, but in the meantime I'll revel in people joy.
I wish you a big helping of people joy, too!

Gorgeous hydrangeas ! Only God could have put those loots together. Now someone needs to dye up some yarn in that blending of hues.

Your other looks like she is having fun in the Wendy house and garden with James. So glad she is with you for a time!

I like seeing little James, he looks like someone who is always going to find the cup half full and smile a lot! How beautiful the table was for the wedding, I love old fashioned tableware and linen. Betty x

Welcome back home with your mama! Sweet. I do have a pear tree but not in a garden. It is in my side yard and I spent quite a while picking pears today. The wedding looked like a fun event. Glad the weather cooled down and you can enjoy some fun conversation.

So glad you had a lovely time. I think a pear tree of one's own would be wonderful.
My Hydrangea's like Mary's, are so dry and burnt from the sun that they no longer look so good. Oh well, there's always next year.
Enjoy every moment with your sweet mom.

Hello Pom Pom - how wonderful to have your Mum stay for a few days with you. Gosh that picture of the hydrangeas took my breath away. One of my absolute fave flowers. The wedding looked wonderful also ... great your weather has cooled a little - just wishing ours would warm up a teeny bit. Happy weekend to you x x x

In our back garden we have a hydrangea and a pear tree, both of which are stunningly unproductive. I look at them and love their potential! Hidden potential. Yay for hidden potential! Love your mum. You have her all!

I know after that beautiful, fun wedding, and all the family, you are very happy to be home again with your dear mama :) So many cucumbers! We are a bit overrun too with them. I cut some in two longways, froze them, and took them out to my chickens in the heat. They loved them. Enjoy cooler weather, Pom! I do have a pear tree in my front yard! Fancy that!

You've had a cucumber-palooza! Lots of pickles there! I'm hoping for cukes, but mine are slow in coming.

Your Washington trip looked like it was nice and green and flowery!

Have fun with your mama. She looks like a nice lady.
