Island Fun and Flowers

I'm back from the wedding weekend.  Oh, being on Guemes Island really filled my beauty bank account!  Niece Sarah served donuts instead of cake!  Cute, huh?

Here is the cute cabin my mom and I stayed in.
 A peony bridal bouquet:  PERFECT!

Cute Jane is the next bride.  I am her fairy godmother.

My mom and I drank LOTS of coffee!  We made many pots of java for the family.

My sister in law made a playhouse for her grands out of her old dog kennel.  She calls it the Kennel Kitchen.  She hung portraits of beloved dogs.  SO cute!  So clever!

This is her bake stand where they sell berries and the famous shortcake (and other delicious baked treats!)

After the wedding we came back to my mom's house and gabbed and gabbed until I had to leave for the airport.

And now I'm back to our peonies.  Bill planted more marigolds, too.  I think this is the summer of marigolds!

I have a few free days before three granddaughters come to stay for six days.  I must put on my thinking cap and plan our fun.
Thank you for popping in!

Lots to this post and I enjoyed reading and looking at it all. : )
Great cabin. Makes me want to get back to working on ours. Maybe now that things have settled down we will be able to.

I am glad you're back though as that means more of your blog posts! 6 days of girliness! I bet there will be fun - a beauty party (make up and dressing up?!) Hope it's lovely weather so you can get outside.

All beautiful: the people, the places, the flowers. But... I am in LOVE with the kennel kitchen, especially the hanging of dog portraits throughout. Wonderful! Wonderful! Happy days!

What a great gift to have a mom with whom you can enjoy sitting and gabbing and drinking coffee. It sounds like the loveliest getaway with a wedding by the water, flowers with the family. (sigh) Glory to God!

All those lovely photos!! It must have been a sweet wedding.
That must have been quite the dog kennel to be the size it is. Your sister has made it be so cute.
Isn't it nice to be home again though?

Pom Pom, I love your joy posts. They're all joy posts, but this is a gorgeous sorbet blend of all your best flavours! We have two weeks of school left here, and I am already planning days and chunks and activities of time! Do you jot notes on the calendar? That's what I found myself doing this week! I think I'll sit the boys down next time it rains outside and let them write slips of ideas to pop in that jam jar on the draining board today...

What a lovely wedding and what a delightful place to be! So many gorgeous, full peonies :) I prefer donuts to cake ANY DAY!! Great idea! You have such a fun family. Glad you are home safe and that you had such good time with your mama. Now it's time for Grammy Camp!

It looks like you had a wonderful time with your mom and all the wedding people too. What fun! The peonies are magnificent! I've always thought peonies make the best bridal bouquets....but you have to get married in June so they're in season.

Six days of grannying sounds like lots of fun days and tired nights.
