Happy and Bright

I see that some of you had pancakes!  And now Lent has begun.  The Easter candy is not out at the grocery store.  I am going to start enjoying eggs though.
It's going to snow again this weekend, but the sky is very blue today.  Happy.  Here are some older happy photos for you.  Tell me your favorite.

The last three photos were taken at my brother and sister-in-law's lovely home.  She is such a wonderful homemaker.  I love their home.

Now, I decided that while Mr. Badger is in transit from Ireland to England, I could fit in the few photos I have of his October in Taiwan. Our friend Yiping allowed me to photograph him in her laundry area,
In the kitchen where they do the washing up.
And by the tea kettle where Mr. Badger could contribute to the lovely hygge we experienced in Taiwan.
Do you like the color of the stove?  Me, too!

I had book club this afternoon at a LOVELY home.  There was lots of sunlight, coffee and tea, good conversation (even though the book was borderline boring) and I must conclude it was all very hygge.
This morning Millie came over while her mama went downtown to the dentist.  She sat quietly, watching a movie, while I finished up my work that I do for Bill's organization.  She rode along with me to the bank and the post box.  We stopped at the grocery store for dinner fixings.  We went to get a cheeseburger lunch.  Being with sweet Millie Rose was very hygge, too.

I've been watching (and reading) Pride and Prejudice.  Delicious, I say.  I like the clothes, the empire waist frocks, the boots, and the coats.
We're having chef salads for dinner.  Yummy.
Tomorrow I might do a little housework.
All is well.
Bless you.

It's hard to choose from all the pictures but the happy little girls jumping in the pool has to be my favorite of all. I imagine their giggles and laughter as they splash. What fun.

I'm so ready to see signs of spring. The days are getting longer and the sun is getting a bit higher.

Here's to Spring.
Hugs,
JB

Hard to pick a favorite among your cheery and colorful pictures. The spinach salad loaded with fruit looks awfully good to me right about now.

What an assortment of lovely pictures. I love lavender and the simplicity of those few stalks in a vase is nice. But I also like zinnias so maybe the zinnia pic gets my vote. I went to buy my seeds today and I bought Zinnias. Two kinds...singles and doubles.

I love all of the bright photos and happy images! I always love to rest my eyes on green forest scenes, and I love that little cabin.
The Taiwan photos were so interesting. I love to see how people live in other countries. Hygge knows no borders!
You are having a full and happy life in your retirement. :)

All your pictures today make me want to visit and join in - I would like to sit on the verandah on that wooden chair with the lamp, could just jump in the picture and be there!

I can tell you are pining for spring! All full of lovely life today. It sounds like you had a very nice day yesterday. What are you doing today.
Have you ever read Pride and Prejudice before? Ron and I have watched the movie with Colin Firth so many times he quotes lines to me, but of course, all calls me Mrs. Bennet. I admit to feeling like her sometimes. :)

I love your long trail of beautiful, happy photos. We need that this time of year, and it's good to remember how bright and green life is most of the time. I love the dishes, the towels, the SWING!!, the full bowl of cherries. All delightful! I love most the cute stove in Taiwan, and although the color is precious, I really love the burners, how high they sit. I'm tired of my old electric stove and would love to cook on gas again :) Love you, Pom!

how delightful that "Mr. Badger" is continuing on his travels.

way back when, I was on an international mailing list, and we had one of those boxes, which go from one member, to another member, to another. it didn't work.

some of us, were prompt in adding our bit, to the box and sending it on to next person. some were not. bahhhh-humbug.

seems it got stuck with one ding-dong, for a long while. then got stuck in Norway. don't remember if it ever got full circle.

never did such, again. -grin-

So many lovely photos. I'm not sure which is my favorite. Our stores are ahead of the times and they have the Easter candy out already!

I can't pick just one, but I must say, I am leaving with a Springy Feeling. I'm ready and it seems you are as well. I do love the color of the stove...how interesting those shots are of the kitchen in Taiwan. Even more interesting is that you were there.

The weather in Texas is crazy, but not as COLD as yours. Today is warm and breezy. As much as I am ready for Spring, I am not ready for March Winds, but I take it over COLD.

The swing in the bright green grass speaks to me. I love green grass. I liked the salad photo too. Spring!

We're expecting snow this weekend too. P&P sounds like a good movie for a snowy weekend. Love the book too!
