I hung the Christmas tree fairies all over and now it's time to gather them up and plan the tree! Have you seen the movie One True Thing? I love the part where the ladies group (called The Minnies) decorate the Christmas trees. The take it so seriously. The film is one of my favorite homey delights. It's sad, but the good parts make up for it.
It's cold and the wind doth blow! Tea hits the spot. I gave up cream/coffee creamer/milk because I was overdoing it. I don't mind now and I'm really not missing it.
Our granddaughter (Cadence, the oldest) is getting baptized on Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent. How special. We can't wait. Eight years ago, she was a baby like sweet James in the photo above. James has pink cheeks and rosebud lips, doesn't he? I like holding him and looking at his sweet face.
Tomorrow, I shall bake pies and I PRAY that it is a good day for pie baking.
Meatloaf for dinner. It's a quiet and happy evening. I am thankful for the way God provides, for the way He makes everything work in such a broken world. He's a mystery.

you are blessed and it shows in this post - through your words and heart. :)
The title of your post says everything. I love that post of sleeping James and I can't believe Samantha Rose is 5!!!
How sweet your oldest grand daughter Cadence is getting baptized on the first Sunday of Advent. That is lovely.
I love your cups. They look so festive. I just like polka dots.
Have a wonderful day pie making. I will pray your pies are wonderful.
Have a lovely evening.
Ahh, sweet little babe. Yes, God is

Happy Birthday to Samantha Rose - what a pretty name.
Love the red and white mugs
I baked a pie today. : )
Wishing you happy days, dear Pompom. Your babes (and not-so-babes !) are really sweet.
Lots of lovely things to be thankful for! xx
Off to put One True Thing on my Netflix queue.
Have a great Thanksgiving, PomPom!

Your Fairy Bunting is so sweet and so is the birthday grandgal. Our Jackson was 5 in September...aren't they fun and a blessing? James is wrapped in bunting too. He is so peaceful. I am still doing coffee/creamer and have to remind myself to not overdoit...tea is not a replacement option for me. Enjoy your pie baking day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Samantha. She looks so happy.
I love your red mugs with the big poka dots.
Advent is a great time for a baptism. That baby looks so sweet sleeping peacefully.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs,
JB
Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby. The wind has quit. I was out and about yesterday when it was so cold. Hope your pie making goes well. There won't be any pies here or turkey or dressing, but I will make cranberry sauce. Happy Thanksgiving. Good eating.
I just re-watched "One True Thing" last week. I love the Minnies! I also realized that this is a great movie for quilts--there are quilts all over the house.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Birthdays, baptism, and babies...make for a delightful post. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I wandered over from the link at Quiet Home, and just wanted to let you know I was here and enjoyed my look around. I especially liked the post about homemaking. You have a lovely blog!
What a lot of blessings! Sounds like you have some good plans. Meatloaf sounds like a great idea for a cold winter night! I like mine with lots of onions! My chiropractor said I should cut out caffeine. So, I am enjoying decaf coffee and tea. I usually only have one cup of coffee per day, so I don't think I'm getting TOO much creamer. :)
I look forward to my annual pumpkin pie baking, and for Christmas I'll make kringle and fruitcake (my mom's secret recipe!). Have a fabulous Thanksgiving! XXOO
Happy Pie Baking! I'll be prepping tomorrow for the big feast. Everyone is excited about all the good, favorite foods we'll enjoy together.
Cute little people in your world. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello my sweet friend Miss Pom !!!!
Oh how I miss your delightful ramblings of love and life. I have just hopped on to blogland to visit all of my dear friends as my blog posts are few and far between these days. I will however shock you now by telling you that I have actually blogged today for the first time in 5 months if you fancy a little squeaky look at one of my brides at her wedding.
Your Grandbabies are so simply stunning and they have grown soooo much ! You truly are blessed with a delightful bunch.
Sending you a big squeeze and blowing you a kiss across the miles XO
I like the fairies - I love my Christmas tree fairy - I look forward to bringing her out.
Happy birthday to Samantha Rose. James has such a perfect little face...gorgeous. Hope you had a nice day baking. X
I love the name Cadence. How beautiful. And congratulations to you all on her baptism. Little James is just the sweetest. Who can resist watching a baby sleep? Your life is full of love!
Meatloaf! That sounds very comforting, warm and delicious. Haven't had meatloaf in ages! ADam is not a meatloaf maker, and I am.
James is a doll. Don't they grow up fast?
