Extra Sweet Faces

Aw!  Look at the sweet little mouth of James!  Isn't he so precious perched on his mommy's shoulder?
She's a good mom. He has a secure little face.
Thank you for bearing with my unleashed granny gushing.  Can you believe how darling Plum Cake's feet are?  Delicious!
A garden bouquet in a wine glass!
A grocery store bouquet that is WAY too expensive but free to photograph.
I made the cookies for you!  They were delicious, but when you eat too many . . . yeah.

This is one of our favorite cabbage salads.  Crunchy!  Tasty!

When two grands were here for the day, I was reading a little Gladys Taber while they played.  A picture of a stove top coffee pot gave me a huge craving for some perked coffee.  I drank three cups.  They were delicious.
Plum Cake is growing fond of Grampy.  She told him, "I drew a picture of you, Grampy!"
Sam put on her apron for a cupcake baking.  She's a good sprinkler!
Plum Cake's portrait wasn't quite as cute as the real deal.  Oh, I love this face! (sigh of contentment!)
I spent the morning watching a Winston Churchill film (I know it's weird, but I really like learning about him) and knitting.  I felt a little less than jazzy and I think it's because a year ago at this time we were at my dad's memorial service and I am missing him.
I can't wait to visit my mom in August.

I hope this weekend is chugging along just fine for you, friends.
Thank you for stopping in to say hello!

Gush away on those grandchildren, Pom. I do believe the world would be a nicer place if all children had a loving grandma like you.
Your garden bouquet is just as lovely as the expensive counterpart.
Thanks a million times over for the cookies. I have been craving them, but trying not to bake them as I know I will overindulge.
I love Plum Cake's hair do. Our family seems to be heavy on the boys. I love them to pieces, but secretly dream of having a little girl to play with someday.

she is a cutie pie as is your little grandboy. :)

You have a quiver full of sweet grandkids, Pom. They have the best of grandmas! I'm so glad you are so appreciative and content with your fabulous husband. I think Winston Churchill is an interesting persona. What was the movie? Are there craisins in those cookies? They look yummy!
I just got home from work and your blog always makes me feel like I'm giving myself a treat. :) Just let someone try to stop us from bragging on our grandkids! lol!

Lovely day and lovely pictures. I love that you got out that peculator. How cute.
I love all of the faces and I do love your gushing. Isn't it nice to gush sometimes. I think you are just happy and not gushing at all. I am glad you do.
Life is so sweet. I am so glad you take pictures.

Such pretty pictures and such pretty grandchildren too! Have you read the book about Winston Churchill by Gretchen Rubin? I haven't but I know she has written one. My DIL gave me G.R.'s "Happiness Project" for a recent birthday and inside there's a list of her other books. BTW Happiness Project is another great book!

I had a dear friend who never spoke a gushing praise over a child without a companion word of praise or gratitude to God. You have a lovely passel of opportunities for rejoicing!

I love seeing the pix of your grands! They're all so beautiful. And those toes!

Bill has a good and handsome face. You're lucky to gaze upon his countenance, and he's lucky to gaze upon yours!

I like seeing Bill's face. Did he get a new haircut? We need a picture of the two of you together because that is immediately where my mind went...imagining you next to him.

Those cookies are PERFECT. I would love one...or three, please. :)

Plum cake is the cutest and baby James is looking more like a little grown up. Ahh the joy of retirement, surrounded with grands and dong the things you like.
Those cookies are scrumptious.

Enjoy your week PomPom.

Your "unleashed granny gushing" suits me just fine. Baby feet are so photogenic!!

I have been wanting cookies all week. Thank you, friend!

And thank you for the lovely bouquet. Those colors are a work of art.

When I look at Adam's face, I feel that same contentment and happiness :) Oh, I read once a biography of Churchill's mother. It was just titled "Jennie," and it was a two-volume set and very good. Gives insight into the man himself, coming from such a family as that.

Your grands are having a grand summer, I see! Both bouquets are perfect, and it's a great idea to photograph the ones you can't buy, and enjoy them -- and the photo doesn't die on you! haha ;)

That is a neat percolator! Where did you find it? I remember something like this when I was young and living in Panama. How wonderful that you can spend time baking with your grand daughter and those cookies!! I have yet to make cookies that taste as good as yours look.
