Tina, the sweetie pie from Tea and Wooly Socks, sent a sweet toadstool bonnet to our Lizzy! Don't YOU LOVE it? Tina has an Etsy shop and she sells knitting patterns, too. She's an amazing knitter and crocheter. I bought one of her knitted bonnets for Samantha Rose when she was expected three years ago and now the two sisters each have a Scottish bonnet. Isn't that fun? Jenny said she will place the bonnets in the girls' "saving tubs" and they shall have them when they leave home and get married. Awesome!
What do you suppose Lizzy is thinking about?
Here is my amazing sister. She is here to help our Kelli (she had surgery last week and is recovering well!) with her girls while she gets back on her feet. Auntie Karol LOVES babies, too!
I must get busy making another baby shawl for Elizabeth Kelli. She looks cozy, doesn't she?
Big sister Sam is doing SO well adjusting to her tiny sibling. She's sweet and helpful.
I am having A LOT of fun making my SMASH book.
I forgot to tell you about my "tutu" slash petticoat. I don't have any dresses or skirts to wear it with YET, but I'm planning.
If you haven't checked up on The Willows lately, you may want to pop over to Liz's blog. They have been having a high time in Australia and they have one more stop there. Sarah at The Provincial Homemaker hosts them next. After that, they'll go to New Zealand to stay with Angel Katie! I expect them home around the new year. I shall add "the book that has been around the world" to my collection soon! I will show you every annotated and decorated page when it arrives. Wouldn't you love a GRAND TOUR that lasted over a year? The boys have been on quite a ride! It's been such fun!
My October has been very full. Has yours? I am making a juicy pot roast for dinner. There is nothing like the smell of pot roast for making the occupants of a house feel loved, is there?
I hope your Sunday (and the rest of your week) is full of "real stuff" like family, food, and LOVE.

Such a sweet, sweet baby girl. There for a moment I thought that you had colored your beautiful white hair! Love the little bonnet. I have been trying to crochet a bonnet for our little Lily, but I cannot get the size right. You smash book must be not only fun to add to, but inspirational to go back through the pages and read. Love it. Today: Grading. That's October here, grading. Have a grand week.
PomPom your grandbabies are so beautiful .I LoVe the toadstool bonnet,so wonderful. Your Smash book is SMASHING! Love the picture of the toadstools...

the girls are cute! that bonnet is sweet. :)
Oh she is so cute in that darling hat!!
Glad Kelly is doing s well and love that your sis is helping you all..(:)
LOVE the toadstool bonnet! How adorable :) Just precious on little Lizzy! You may know this but in England they call inpatients (flowers) 'busy lizzie'. Love that!
My kitchen smells of fresh baked quiche, just devoured, and chocolate cake, still cooking. It is darkening and wet outside but here we are lighted and cosy and well. I am very struck by your ownership thoughts. We have unsettled ourselves badly over the last fortnight in Strawberry Land and are burrowing sorely into the nest now! Just wanted to say - that your sister is so beautifully like you, and that smile must be generic - that your children and grandchildren are precious indeed - that you may want to moderate the intention to show all the decorated and annotated pages, or at least plan a series of posts, a very, very long series of most magical posts! Have a great and restfuller week, PP xx
Love the bonnet and the sweet little ones. I can almost smell that pot roast cooking.
She looks VERY cute! :) Thank you for your very kind words too! Big hugs to you all! xxxx
PP...I just noticed...sweet little baby Lizzy has her bonnet on upside down! The toadstool is sideways. No wonder she looks a little puzzled. :) xxx
Hello Pom Pom...that little toadstool bonnet is very cute. I think the littlest one hasn't quite come to appreciate it yet, but she will.
I see a family resemblance in your sister.
That really is a Grand Tour...a year in the making. I shall click over and see what they are all up to in OZ.
A happy Sunday to you, and may the week ahead be full of blessings.
What a great bonnet! Oh yum I almost made a pot roast today, but decided on ham instead. Now I wish I had....LOL Have a great week! Kit
Lizzy is thinking, "Hey, people, it feels really WEIRD having a toadstool sprouting from my head!"
Lizzie has those gorgeous blue eyes and i think that she is thinking about how bright her autie's smile is~!
you are right; pot roast aromas do make all feel loved.
i made a big pot of chicken noodle soup the other day and that was as good to smell cooking all day as is was to eat in the evening~!
wishing you a happy and productive week Pom Pom.
:-)

Sweet Lizzy looks like a little angel in that little toadstool bonnet. I'm sure before too long she will be out hunting for fairies that live in the garden. I love your smash book too ! If I could find more time I would love to do something like that x
Such an adorable baby girl! She looks so cute in her toadstool bonnet :) xxx
Lizzie is such a delight - her bonnet is fun - you have so much going on around her - she must feel very loved. Smash book looks good I think I want one! Betty x
That's a pretty baby! Love the hat! And how nice to see a picture of your sister, who does indeed have your beautiful smile. My October has been very full, too, but I'm trying to do some journal writing and arts and crafting. It's such a good time of year for it.

oh how precious..the hat, the little ones, the smash book looks so fun...as usual your zest for life is contagious!
Lizzy is so adorably sweet and that bonnet is totally cute.
I couldn't get by yesterday. I wanted to so bad. I am so glad everyone is doing well. Your sister is a cutie pie. I love the little hat.
Always stopping by lifts my spirits.
Have a lovely week Pom Pom
They start young at your house carrying on the toadstool tradition! What a fun tradition it is!
I think I'm having as much fun looking at your SMASH book as you're having making it! Love those quotes! May I borrow some for my Facebook status?
It will be exciting to see all of the decorated pages in your traveling WITW book!
My little grandgirl, Audrey, is adjusting to her little sister as well. She's doing a good job of it for being only 14 months old!
Enjoy your blessings!
Love that mushroom hat! So sweet. Wind in the Willows one of our all time fav books too. x
Lizzy looks so adorable in her toadstool hat and her big sister is a sweetie too.
How nice to "meet" your sister.
That Elizabeth Elliot quote hit me right where I needed it.
Thank you for posting it.

I was just thinking Lizzy looks like Sam and then when I saw your sister I knew she must be related to you because you guys favor. LOVE that cute toadstool bonnet. So sweet!!! Yes, this Oct is too busy and I am overwhelmed. :P
PomPom, my dear, can you give me some advice? I love looking at what you are doing in your SMASH book and I have found a beautiful Travel Journal that I was given many years ago and I never used for its intended purpose. It has pockets to put things in, and though I will need to cover some pages in pretty paper, I think it will be perfect for me to use... BUT I am hesitating starting...I "don't know what to do" (as if there are rules!) and "I don't want to do it wrong" (as if there was a right/wrong way!) and "What if it isn't beautiful or perfect" (as if that really matters...!)
How did you start? What do you put in it? What do you think I should do?! If you wouldn't mind sending me an email, I'd be honoured! My address is alison (dot)wale(at) hotmail (dot) co (dot) uk. I know you are a busy, busy lady, but it would be lovely to hear from you. Thank you so much!!
