Hi! I made a baby! I found free paper dolls on Pinterest. I have LOVED this artist for 30 years, but I forgot the name. I was so pleased to find Michel's work on this paper doll site. I cut the blue-eyed baby out and glued her to a big hunk of cardboard. She has a back, too!
She is going to live in a pocket of my SMASH book. Since my theme is "surrender" I found her fitting. Babies are dependent like I want to be.

And around the house I found my birthday ribbons hanging on a knob. Happy!
Speaking of birthday happiness, my neighbor gave me these Vera Bradley gloves. The bow is attached to the tag. Aren't they bright and cheery?
Something that I've been meaning to show you is this prayer plaque that my granny gave me when I was confirmed. See my granny? Isn't she CUTE? I love her turtleneck and cardigan. I wear that same outfit now! Her hair is so "granny bun-like" and well, I love her face! Anyway, she gave me this prayer and I prayed it every night for the longest time. A Girl's Prayer I pray whatever wrong I do, I'll never say what is not true; Be willing at my task each day And always honest in my play. Make me unselfish with my joys, And generous to the other girls; And kind and helpful to the old, And prompt to do what I am told. Bless every one I love, and teach Me how to help and comfort each; Give me the strength right living brings, And make me good in little things. I do believe God worked in me as I said that prayer. Yay!
I am not going to school today because I am helping Kelli. She had surgery a week ago and is recovering nicely, but she can't lift heavy stuff (Millie Rose!) and Bryan is going on a retreat. Yahoo! This post just lifted my heart in so many ways..the paper dolls are just wonderful, what joy they brought to my heart...I need to do that. The kitchen glove, beautiful and cheerful...the poem from your grandmother...then time to give out...a true blessing for all
Oh one of yours was a music major...oh my, I kept thinking after all the years we invested in music lessons, piano, guitar, violin...one of ours would be also...but NO! Their music is for their own pleasure, but daughter-in-law is a piano teacher

I like the Pretty Baby song. It reminds me of some of the songs that Elizabeth Mitchell sings. Do you know her? You should take a listen to some of her fun little songs.
I used to love those paper dolls and if I didnt get a copy of bunty magazine with the dresses in, I would have plenty of fun creating my own! lovely prayer - will listen to song later! Betty x

My husband is cutting down my friend the sugar maple tree who died two years ago. I am so sad like I lost a friend. Now I have to watch it be cut up in into little chunks. So my son can use it in his smoker. Aw well. Have a lovely day.

Audrey snuck into the pantry today and found a stack of paper cups that have been there forever. She had so much fun stacking and unstacking them! Love the bat cups!

Hi sweet Janette! Our music major son is now a pastor. Even when he was a little boy, he had a heart for the lost. Music is his creative outlet. He's even learned to play the bagpipes!
