Food and Fun

Is tomorrow really Christmas Eve?  Yikes!  The week has flown by!  I had my school prayer group over for lunch on Monday.  We had FUN!

I'm very interested in toadstools now, so I'm on the look out for polka dots.
I found my little people!  They had been missing for two years and I found them in a cup when I opened the china closet!  Whew!
I served good old macaroni and cheese to the ladies.
 Cinnamon buns!
Spinach salad with almonds and cranberries
Don't faint.  I actually finished a knitting project.  Look at Millie Rose riding her bug rocker and wearing the sweater that took so long for granny to make!  Yes.  It's a little small.

We've been buried in snow.  Look how high it is.
Last, I've finally figured out how to ripple.  It's fun and addicting, too.
I keep thinking of things I forgot while shopping.  Back to the store . . . again.
I wish you a sweet celebration of Christ's birth and quiet moments to say some private hellos to Him.  All this hustle and bustle and baking and cooking and wrapping and washing dishes and EATING beyond fullness . . . well, if it's all for HIM, it's all good.

I've added all my favorite blogs to the bottom of my page.  I wish everyone would post every day!  I never tire of reading what you have to say!  Honest!
Happy Christmas!

Your new blog look is so cheerful. Love the polka dotted teapot.
Do you mind if I hang out here awhile and absorb the preciousness of that sweet little Millie Rose in her new sweater? Oh my goodness ... adorable!!
Once in awhile I will take my eyes off of her and delight in your beautiful snow. I think I'm green with envy. Nothing like a white Christmas, in my humble opinion :).
It is a busy time for sure, but as you say it's all good.
May your Christmas be blessed, dear Pom Pom.

What a lovely post, Pom! You always offer so many delightful things to see and think about. I've been longing to make good ole bubbly mac/cheese for several days, so it's on the menu for next week, that's for sure! Your whole menu looks delicious. And that sweater -- precious! I know it will be treasured. I need to learn how to ripple too :)

That mac & cheese looks delish! And the cinnamon buns AND the salad too (I like spinach salad). Your table looks so festive and inviting and I'll bet your prayer group ladies were delighted to be with you in your home. LOVE Millie's sweater.

Are you cooking on Christmas day?

Hi PomPom, I have woken at 5am today for no good reason and with a day of work ahead I wish I hadn't! it's far too early. So I am in the peace of the moment enjoying my Christmas decorations and drinking hot water with honey. The little knitted jacket is so sweet, hope it's the first of many knitty projects. Your ripple looks very pretty too. If you were my neighbour I would sit on your porch in a rocking chair and learn to ripple knit with you. I went to a farm shop yesterday and bought things we don't usually have, some home made chutney and some non alcoholic ginger wine. Wishing you lots of fun in the snow with the grandchildren. Bettyx

REAL mac and cheese! Wonderful treats!

It's fun to see you getting the same weather as my step-son and his new wife in Longmont. He just told us about the heavy, wet snow they have. Our Christmas has been quite brown. No snow to speak of.

Have a wonderful Christmas day. So glad that Jesus came down to save us!

Ohhhhh...I love the knitted sweater...I bet your grandygal loves it too. Thanks for your visit this am...I did have a wonderful Christmas. Hope you did as well. Ours was a quiet day yesterday as we did our gifting with grandies on Christmas Eve. No snow here...looks like you have enough for the whole wide world. I'll be back in the New Year with a New Look...I'm thinkin' on it...My PC went KaPoot...so I'm on my laptop and waiting for new PC and data restore...hard drive still ok...system went out. I don't understand all that techie stuff, but TechieSon says, "It'll be okay, Mom"! Anyway, you enjoy your holiday vacation and have a very Happy New Year!
