Spring Tonic

I'm pausing. I'm completely pausing. I am completely TIRED.

I'm very thankful that the Good Shepherd is up in front. One foot in front of the other, I'll follow the sheep in front of me and we'll keep going where He leads.

Waiting for directions . . . (Gumbo Lily photo)

and fuzzy, with a cobwebby head, I shall turn when the crook pushes and feed on truth tonic, tip my silly head in confusion when the other voices say, "Go, goat, go." What are they talking about? Silly. I'm a sheep and if I get lost, the Shepherd will come looking for me. I belong to Him and His group. Whew.

When are you gonna get a little rest, Lambie? Did your school already have spring break? Yes, God will keep you going until He lets you have down time. But I pray it's soon!

Yes, Pom Pom, I think we forget we are sheep - we need to remember who we are following, our Saviour and sometimes we do get fuzzy, graze and forget where we are going. Thanks for the reminder. I wonder if He calls us sheep because we are so like them, easily led, forgetful, easily scared, following the crowd? I guess so.

Oh yes, it's so easy to try to become a shepherd rather than a sheep. I love being a sheep, it's more peaceful.

Rest lots my friend. xxxx

And of course, He will always come and find his lost fuzzy sheep!

I needed to hear this! I feel a bit lost right now -- like a sheep stuck out on a ledge and wondering how I got here :) Waiting for the shepherd to come tell me what to do next. Thank you :)

Oops I just clicked more! more!..I forgot you were worn out ; ) Isn't it such a relief to know that it's not all depend on our effort...phew. I always did adore that picture of Lucinda & Jane & the doll's house. I'd love to take Joy home but she might be a bit disappointed that I'm not there to greet here with the dawn. May gentle refreshment come to you this week. Much love Catherine x

Hello PomPom! Sorry to hear you're feeling so tired, I guess it maybe be due to Springtime? I'm feeling low too, I cannot stand this time of the year, even if it is lovely to observe nature though.
Take care!

What a wise Granny you are. "Go, goat, go." Not the calling meant for us. I think Sophie will appreciate this if I read it to her -- funny taken very literally, but she'll appreciate it as she grows because of its depth and truth. S-M-R-T.

Sorry, it left my comment as Bryan because he was most recently signed into his gmail. ;)

Yes, pleae do rest Pom. Rest is highly underrated here in our part of the world, don't you think? One thing I admire about the lifestyle in some European countries is their (it seems to me ;) ability to balance work with leisure -- something we don't do quite so well here, you think? It seems as if most folks here (especially in public schools!) think if you're not work, work, working all the time, you must be a lazy slacker. So, we work, work, work with little thought for our own health and end up getting sick and burned out -- so counterproductive. Well sorry, didn't mean to rant. But, take care of yourself, k ;)?
And thank you for renewing my interest in Pooh (and "The Wind in the Willows"). Pooh is so wise, isn't he? I bet he'd tell you to rest ;).
Hearts & flowers,

One more ;) . . .

Dearest,
We all need a rest. A pause.

I've been reading the Psalm where it says, "Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46) One translation says, "Cease striving and know that I am God."

Rest with the Shepherd in the green pastures beside still waters.
