Hello! I found another Ann on Etsy thanks to The Crafty Stitchers. Because she just arrived, I'm still looking at her from afar. Today, I may examine her closely. Do you like her dress? Her baby? You can never have enough Anns, books, funky shoes, good smelling potions, dishes, flannel clothes, or yarn. That's what I always say.
My new friend Sara sent me TWO Elizabeth Goudge novels. I ordered Pilgrim's Inn from Amazon and I expect it soon. Sara's so sweet to share some Goudge with me. Frances offered to, too. Jody at Gumbo Lily is the reader who first mentioned her. Blog Land can be Reading Land, don't you think?
THIS is a wonderful book I ordered from my crafty book club. There are many baby sweater patterns inside and some amazing scarf patterns. I have the original One-Skein Wonders, too. It's also fantastic!
The Amazon recommending people sure have MY number. This is a funky and colorful little "creativity day-by-day" book. I thought I could use some of the ideas in my upcoming Writer's Workshop class. So, I'm going to put my computer away now and pull out the books, journal, pencils and pens . . .
Even though some of the kids are coming for dinner, I think I can still use the dining room table for some real cutting and pasting, drawing and writing . . . sound like fun?

Most definitely sounds likes fun! Blog land is most definitely reading land! I have a list of must reads so large from all my bloggy friends, that I have books to study and read from for the next five years.
Enjoy your Saturday, my friend!
Blessings!
Deborah
Your days ALWAYS sound like fun! I suspect it's not necessarily the days, but you :)
I have a very old Ann doll downstairs, in the bottom of my trunk. Next time I go digging in there, I'll have to pull her out, and put her on my blog - thanks for the idea!
LOVE your new friend! I still have my Anne from childhood -- her name is Polly -- after the family friend who gave her to me ;). She's resting on the bed in the guest room and loves when the littles come to visit.
And isn't E.G. just the best?! Love the trilolgy and "Little White Horse" best of all, I think. Which are your faves?
All the other books you have pictured look lovely too.
Blessings,
GG
Real cutting, pasting, drawing and writing does sound like fun! The AWE-Manac...how cute is that and I bet Wonderful! I'm glad to see your long weekend has been inspiring for you. I've been knitting on a new scarf that was inspired by attending the Concho Valley Knitting Guild. It's a LACE pattern and I'm really enjoying learning some fun stitches. I'll have some pictures of it up on SKW here in awhile. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Little Leprechaun...isn't he soooo cute?
That doll is so cute. Have fun reading...there is so much to read out there...it's wonderful. Hugs
We're just home from a Spring Fair at a friend's church where the children's craft room needed you! Blogland is fabulous- so much colour, so many words, all this thinking. I love it! And you! All those little ones of yours will pile in to the table and bliss will reign! I've just heard that we may have babysitting possibilities tonight, and hence I may actually get to see (hear!) the King's Speech!
I would love to be able to come and be inspired at your writer's workshop! Have a happy day creating!
I really like your Ann dollie. I hope you enjoy the E. Goudge books like I have. The crafty books you are about to read-and-do sound wonderful. I'd love to be at your kitchen table creating today. I think I'll be sewing some baby diapers today. Creative work too, eh?

Dolls have never been my think but I appreciate that others love them - I only had one as a child and never loved it! I do however love books but don't know how on earth you get through so many Pom Pom - especially when you work and have such a huge family and grandchildren - it is thanks to you that I have returned to books. Those are REAL friends, to offer you E. Goudge books!
I love your new doll...if I don't get around to making my own dolls pretty soon I'll have to follow suit and get some homemade dolls from someone else. I did buy a sock monkey at Target last week. :-) I don't know what happened to my kids' old monkeys...
I hope your journaling (is there one "l" or two, in journalling? lol!) was blissful! I loved reading your little post today. So glad to get my little dose of Pom-Pom happiness this morning!
I've found such great books through blogging, too! Thanks so much for joining in A Pause for Lent again this year.
I'm just finishing The Scent of Water and am about to start Pilgrim's Inn. Blessings on Jody for introducing us to E. Goudge. The Awe-Manac looks awe-some--let us know if it is! I love books like that.

She is gorgeous....sorry I've been a bad blogger lately, been distracted with the fair. It's nice to catch up with you. xxxx

Yes, your idea for drawing and writing does sound like fun.. Enjoy the fun.
