Good Place

Last weekend Sam came and it was nap time so I wrapped her in the only shawl I've ever knit and rocked her (and myself) and when she had drifted off to sleep, I HAD to sit and gaze at her. Oh, I wish I could have a nap like this today. Can you?

I took the poppy pictures in Kelli's neighborhood. She called after school on Monday and invited me over for a walk. We strolled around her new block and enjoyed the spring blooms.

Our Colorado sky is so blue and clear. I love my life's scenery.

See Miss Bug's little peeper?

Miss Bug is so good at "face-to-face" and when she looks at us, we know she's paying attention. I hope people feel like I'm paying attention today.

Such precious little souls you have nearby. Don't you feel so blessed? I know you do. What a fine house Kelli and family has. Another sweet blessing.

Three and a half years ago I left the very small strawberries in the bewildered care of a most understanding husband and got on a plane to Smalltown America. A very good friend, whom I was missing dreadfully, had gone on a Fulbright exchange to Madison, Indiana and out I went over Hallowe'en holiday. Madison in the Fall! The second amazing thing was The American Porch. We don't do those here, but how I wish we did! So get you out there, Pom Pom, with the thought of all that marking and think about it long and hard as you swing on said porch! (And then go in and do a bit!) Love you loads! x

I hope you get a "sleeping beauty" nap in today! And I've been meaning to tell you that I love that flower bowl in your header. I have always wanted to make an "ice bowl" with flowers encased in it, just for fun, for a hot summer day. xo Kari

Hi Pom Pom,
Just popping in to say Hello to you today! I love visting this peaceful, happy place that you've created.

P.S. You always make people feel special and as though you are "paying attention" ;-)

Isn't it a blessing to have babies around? Our youngest grandson will soon be a year old. He probably won't be followed by another for a few years. That makes me sad! I'll have to love on all the other babies at church until one of my own children comes through with another one. Enjoy yours!

Soon! Soon! You will be able to enjoy summer!
