Welcome! It's so nice to have you pop by for a little hello. I hope you had a wonderful day or if you are visiting in the morning, I hope you HAVE a great day! Look at these precious photos of Birdie experiencing her first real hair cut. She loved the car she sat in and watched a movie while the stylist made her even more beautiful!
I've been having fun cutting, pasting, writing . . . I'm trying to figure out how to infuse school journal writing with this kind of fun!
Do any of YOU think this kind of creating is fun? I am a doodler. That's why I keep talking about Praying in Color. The art-fun mixed with the daily writing . . . it feels right.
It's hot outside. I'm thankful that it finally rained in Texas (SuKnitWitty posted a poem about rain - she's so happy!) AND I keep reminding myself that it IS still July and late August is still quite a ways away. Smile. I have a lot to read. For school: The Alchemist, The House of the Scorpion, Copper Sun, Image Grammar, Mechanically Inclined, Everyday Editing, The Hunger Games, Uglies, The Life of Pi, (books for school), The Secret Language of Girls, The Kind of Friends We Used to Be, Shooting the Moon, Chicken Boy, Dovey Coe - all by Frances O'Roark Dowell, to read for pleasure. So tomorrow will bring another stretch of luxury - me on the sofa, reading up a storm, knitting the little face cloth I'm working on, journaling and praying and loving the peace. Peace to you, too.
