She Reads

I've been wanting to show you the lovely reader in my neighbor's garden. Her sister gave her this pretty lady. Do you like her?

I don't have lamb's ear in my garden (I don't like things that encroach) but I do think this display is beautiful.

Aren't these little pears pretty? She'll share with me! Yahoo!

Our daughter, Kelli, thinks "the shawl" is getting really weird. She's skeptical. I assured her that I'll wear it AT HOME only and I need it to keep warm after school in the winter. It's meant to be an accessory to my pajamas. "Okay," she said. It really bugged her when I kept saying, "I'm knitting a butterfly wing." Can you picture the eye roll?

One thing I can do when our house is quiet (this is the last day because all are back in house tomorrow) is arrange things simply for taking photographs! I find this VERY fun!

Yesterday when Reve and I went to the quilting shop, I found myself drawn to red and blue.

Oh, there are so many pretty colors in our world. Red grapes. Grapes are so tasty and incredibly beautiful, don't you think?

Here's something else that is simply beautiful, my new pin cushion. I misplaced mine (darn those storage tubs!) and so I bought another one the other day. I showed Brad and April on video chat and Brad said, "Why are pin cushions always tomatoes with strawberries for needles?" I don't know. Do you?

I'm going to sew today. This time I mean it.
Thank you for popping in and looking at my pictures. It's very nice of you.
