Sweets and A Childlike Christmas 3

"While visions of sugar-plums danced through their heads"
                                                  ~ Clement C. Moore
Welcome to "A Childlike Christmas" week three!  Wow!  Hasn't the time flown by?  Today this "child" presents a lot of "sugar plums" also known as SWEETS!  Sweets to the sweet!  YOU!

Note:  The iced animal cookies above must be served with hot cocoa.  Just saying.

Have you tried Poppycock?  Cashews and caramel mixed with popcorn?  YUMMY!
Oops!  The Sugar Plum Fairy appears on the scene!
Okay, enough of all the sweet stuff (no actual baking was done for this post) and on to a super star gem of Christmastime:  THE ORANGE!  Laura and Mary received oranges one Christmas and were thrilled.  When we were dating Bill bought me a big sack of oranges because I had extremely sore tonsils when I was in college.  Those big oranges were so juicy, so sweet, that I ate ALL of them within twenty four hours.  Sometimes oranges are absolutely perfect.  Is there any fragrance as lovely as orange peel?  I don't think so.  Well, maybe evergreen branches.
Below are this granny's sugar plums.  Really.  Two every morning.  They ARE a super fruit!
Isn't it fun thinking like children?  I ordered a book that Catherine at An Angel in the Garden recommended.  It's called A Childlike Heart.  It came today and so far . . . pretty amazing. I leave you with this from the author Alan D. Wright:
"Children never grasp at equality with God.  They know they're not in charge.  God is waiting patiently for you to make that same, simple discovery."
Check out all the "A Childlike Christmas" bloggers (my sweet friends) on the sidebar.  Have yourself a sugar plum.
