A Bustling Day

Jenny had a meeting this morning for one of her part-time jobs so I took Sam to the rec center for swim class.  It was hot in the pool area, but I enjoyed the people watching.  I think it's admirable that a lot of people don't worry one bit about how they look in a swimsuit, they just like to be in the water!  Amen!
We went to Happy Donald's (what Plum calls McDonald's) for lunch and then home to see the baby chicks.  Aren't they getting big? The one below is the Easter Egger (Americana) and she is SO sweet.  She loves to be held and closes her eyes when she is petted.
 These will be lovely hens!

If someone ever calls me a chicken face, I will say, "Why, thank you!" Isn't this a glorious face?
My sweet blog friend Alison at Fat Dormouse sent me this wonderful zentangle!  Don't you love it?  We like trees because they are so symbolic of deep roots being absolutely necessary in order for the trunk and the branches to be healthy.  Yep, the roots are our love for Jesus, our pursuit of Him, our adoration.  THANK YOU, sweet Mouse!
Our Jeff is refinishing our hardwood floors.  They look good so far.  He'll put the finish on in a few days.  It's exciting.  It was HARD to find places for all of our (mostly my) junk.  Yikes.  I must do a better job of minimizing AND dusting.

I found a bright yellow cardigan at Target today.  Doesn't it go well with my posy from Heather at Blackberry Rambles? I have a big pile of posies on my dresser.  They make me happy.
Forgive the Band-aid.  I went to the dermatologist last week.  I love the way he uses his freezy gun to burn off spots.  Bill went to this doctor, too.  We really like him and we're happy to report that we have no scary spots.  Yay!  (It's VERY sunny in Colorado and the air is thin so we must be careful)

Today Jeff and Christie find out if James will have a baby brother or a baby sister!  So exciting!  I am going over to their house to stay with James while they go to the doctor.
Later, it'll be on to Kelli's house.  I'll stay with Millie while they go to music class. We usually do dinner here but since our main floor is empty, I can't really serve a meal.
Take care, good reader.  Thank you for poking your head in and checking on me!

Your going to love your floors when they are finished. Sounds like you have been a busy bee.

Love the little chicks and have always wanted some, but living in the city - no.

Your hair looks terrific.

Have a sunny day.

Those chicks are so cute, they don't even look real! I agree with what you said about swim suits. I have never been able to wear one and enjoy the sun and water without feeling terribly embarrassed. You look beautiful in the bright yellow sweater. I love it!

How exciting to have a new grandcjild be it boy or girl. The zentangle is so lovely. And by coincidence I just had a "spot" frozen off too, but mine was right on my nose. It will need a second application. There's no way to put a band-aid on a nose.

Love that sweater with the top and flower! I had to really look hard to find the bandaide! Your grands and kids are blessed to have you ready to help them. How exciting to find out whether you'll be adding a grandgirlie or grandboy to your family! I'm one of those people you won't see in a bathing suit!

You are one busy granny! Taking care of so many. Your kids must love it that you are so willing to help them out.

The chicks are sweet. They do grow up so fast. Mine are in a kind of ugly stage right now, but soon they'll be looking beautiful.

Your floors are looking amazing! What type of finish will be put on them?

You look pretty in yellow.

I think it's a good idea not to worry about what we look like in a swimsuit, lol. That's a very pretty picture of you, by the way. The new haircut really suits you!
Congrats on the new grandbaby!
I think those chickens are destined to have a very cushy life. :)

You are very beautiful, PP! Your pictures are beautiful, and your words are beautiful, and your encouragement and inspiration are beautiful! I wish you and bill would come and do beautiful encouragement here! I could fill a whole day of unencouraged people for you who just love a wee bit of beautiful to set them into the next chunk of days with a smile!

Those chicks will forget their identity! But cute. Your wood floor will be so beautiful. It is pain having everything moved out, isn't it? But worth it.

i LOVE the yellow sweater and it looks terrific with the yellow flower!!!! I feel the need for yellow in the late winter and spring and it's only certain shades that look good on me.
