Merry and Bright

It's definitely December around here!  Look at all the snow! I was praying for a snow day, but THAT didn't materialize.  Boo!

If I had had a snow day, I could have decorated for Christmas.  Maybe tomorrow.

I made a curtain for the kitchen sliding glass door with this cute quilt I found on sale.  It's cozy and very helpful now that the temperatures have dipped so low.
I hope you are eating lots of oranges and drinking healthy tea.  My sore throat is MUCH better thanks to tea and Cuties!

Millie came over on her actual 3rd birthday and we ate spaghetti and a big cake! Isn't she a rose?

Millie got a stick unicorn for her birthday, so the girls broke out their old pink stick horses and the three galloped around the main floor.
Here's one of the GREAT things about this freezing weather:  I can wear the really warm Irish-knit sweater I got for Christmas LAST year.  All the white brightness outside and the cozy colors inside make me feel bouncy.
Pork chops for dinner and maybe Bill will build a fire.  Merry and bright.

That jumper looks fabulous- I'd like one, I think! If you ever came to Ireland in a summer, you should pack that still!!

We've had about 12" of snow so far. I was SO THANKFUL just to get home from work without getting stuck! I don't have to work again until Monday, so I'm staying put as much as possible.
Tea and Cuties sounds like a great idea. Another great idea...your quilt curtain!
Did you make the spectacular birthday cake? Looks wonderful!
You look MAH-VELOUS! :D

I thought about you tonight when they did a story on NPR interviewing folks in Denver who were happy (mostly) about finally getting snow. I hope Bill builds a fire! Your sweater is gorgeous and so are you.

You and your sweater are beautiful. We have snow too. And freezing cold temperatures. But it's so pretty out. Lasagna for dinner. Finally heavier comfort food!

The sweater and the lady wearing it are so pretty. Love the bright pop of color in the scarf too.
Happy Birthday to Millie. Looks like a fun time was had by all.

You are enjoying the cold and snow, I can tell, with your green sweater and good spirits. The birthday party looks like fun.

Chiming in to say yes! You and the sweater look great together! We are getting freezing temperatures but no precipitation. When the rain comes, the freeze will go, but that will be alright with us - Come, rain, come!

Oh, I do hope Bill built a fire! Nothing like a fire with winter white outdoors. The white white white, and the bright color of cuties and decorations -- your life is so bright. You seem always to have birthdays twirling around your weeks, Pom. And many darling grands. Have a happy week!
