There and Back Again

Hello!  I'm sorry I've been absent.  I meant to do a little blogging while visiting my sweet hometown, but I was too busy talking and enjoying the company of my family.
Can you believe that we've entered into the season of Lent? My mom made pancakes on Tuesday.

My brother and sister-in-law are in the process of remodeling their darling Cape Cod style home.  Sue has been making the most of having her house in slight disarray.  She is such a good granny!  This is Beau and Phoebe's play land in the soon to be revamped living room.  Cute, huh?
I do not know if these radishes were locally grown but aren't they gorgeous?  You might get some radishes for Valentine's Day because they are red.
It's almost time for tulips there.  These are silk.  VERY cheery!
I was blessed by familiar views.
And more springy sprouts than we have here.

It was fun to visit some of my knitting.  I like seeing this shawl again.  Buttery yarn.
Here is a cardigan I made for my mom about thirty years ago!  She gave it back to me.  I am quite impressed with my young self.

There are lots of birds in my mom's backyard. No,  there are no birds in this photo.  I was slow getting my camera out of the case.  Ha.
 Real tulips!
My mom had a little product party (chemical free cleaners and face stuff) and I got to see two childhood friends and some of my mom's friends.

Look at her!  So energetic and capable.
Her houseplants are huge.  Why do mine die?

The foothills that surround the valley are so familiar and beautiful.
We went out to the little post office in the farming area to mail the sweater home to me.  Don't you like the old-time post office boxes?
Bill returned from Australia just before my plane landed so he met me at the gate.  Yay!  That's fun!
I had such a nice visit with my mom, my dear sister (she's the BEST!) and my brothers and their wives (my friends).
Bill and I are going to eat pizza and salad for dinner and then crawl into our cozy bed.
It's always good to be home.
Thank you for coming by.
