Isn't that weird?

I LOVE this movie. The first time I watched it, I was just a kid but loved it then. I latch on to movies and when I do then I can watch them endlessly. Out of Africa is one that I've watched sooooooo many times! My mom had the soundtrack and we used to go to sleep listening to it. Wow-- I think I sound obsessive here ;-)

Wonderful pictures of your son also. Making an impact! Awesome and inspiring-- as are you Pom Pom!

Thank you for your prayer's!It means so much to me and to my mom!Jessica Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06593410807412914838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-79516045572061991102010-02-08T15:34:27.753-08:002010-02-08T15:34:27.753-08:00I need to watch that movie again. I have that book in my wish list.

JodyGumbo Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02747138637571716591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-89697352594476376342010-02-08T06:11:36.640-08:002010-02-08T06:11:36.640-08:00My God I LOVE that movie. And I am such a huge fan of Robert Redford (ideal man - love him in the Horse Whisperer too) and Meryl is probably one of my favourite actresses, so yes, a definite favourite. I too have the sound track, and I did TRY and tackle the book, but found it too hard going - bit too much politics and not enough love for me....

Did you ever watch (on TV years ago) The Flame Trees of Thika? About a family that move out to Africa, based on the biographies of Elspeth Huxley. They are great books. I was a little girl when it was on TV but I loved it, and my mum always said I looked like the little girl who played Elspeth. (It is told through the eyes of a child). You might like them more if it's the 'feel' of Africa and starting a new, the challenge and so on, rather than the politics that you like...

Anyway, thanks for making me think of all this...

Love Charlotte
xxCharlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06187037174877356896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-51108005210010835492010-02-05T10:14:01.202-08:002010-02-05T10:14:01.202-08:00Beautiful pics and sharing! What exciting stories they share of God's miraculous!

I must read Making Crosses! What a truth! God is not looking for perfection. No, we are flawed without Him! He is our only hope of being!

Thank you, my friend, for your beautiful heart! I am so in awe of the work your husband and your son are doing, and so far away from you. It is truly a labor of love on the part of your whole family. Thank you for the quotation about attention, not perfection. I really need to work on that. It's almost Friday, and I hope you have the loveliest of weekends!! xo KariKari of Writing Up A Stormhttp://www.writingupastorm.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-64335177978308759442010-02-04T06:53:19.995-08:002010-02-04T06:53:19.995-08:00One of my favorite all time movies is Out of Afric...One of my favorite all time movies is Out of Africa.
