Oh my! I can only watch SO much of her, b/c eventually the humor drives me CRAZY. What a good idea to get them to identify plot; that scene dominates so much with the humor, and the characterization, that it's easy to overlook the plot. You make it by mixing flour (any kind you like and enough to cover the top of your apples in an oven dish)and butter or margarine into breadcrumbs, like when you're making pastry but leave them as breadcrumbs, don't knead them into dough! then add some sugar (any kind you like) and sprinkle the whole lot over your apples (I stew mine slightly in apple juice to soften them and add some cinnamon before I put them into the oven dish)then bake until golden brown on top.You can also crumb some wholemeal biscuits(we call them digestives here)and add them to the mix if you like.
Enjoy Maui (is that in Hawaii?),pardon my geographic ignorance!xxBetween Me and Youhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04863155145862706966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-1997383792470902682013-10-26T01:29:29.966-07:002013-10-26T01:29:29.966-07:00Loved reading all your news. One thing I see you've been figuring out lately is that in baked items, too much sugar spoils them. You want as little sugar as possible so that the other flavors like butter and spices can shine. The vast majority of dessert recipes out there can be improved by applying this principle. Happy baking, dear Pom!GretchenJoannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13641677400029070452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-92200208833399012422013-10-25T09:32:32.202-07:002013-10-25T09:32:32.202-07:00great colors in the trees! apple crisp and vanilla...great colors in the trees! apple crisp and vanilla ice cream - YUM! it was a family staple in our home, too.

as for your snowblower beast, how about zelda? :) TexWisGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13641962051044162710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6918710928117815584.post-36801412039172422162013-10-25T07:27:26.466-07:002013-10-25T07:27:26.466-07:00What beautiful Autumn colours.
