Wedding Bells

It's our 39th wedding anniversary.  Heart. The peonies always appear for our celebration.

 As do the strawberries!
The very nicest and warm sun has also come to the party.

I told Bill not to buy flowers because we are still buying for the flower beds.  He did not obey.  YAY!
Here we are in the church basement all those years ago.  Oh, I am in awe of how kind God is.  He gave me a husband who has been passionate about Jesus from the day we met onward.  He is hardworking, sensitive and kind, strong in body and very much in spirit, a loving father, a happy grandfather, and my best friend, best human, true love.  I am so grateful.
Kelli wore my wedding gown in a play long ago.  I decided to wash it in the washing machine (it took all these years to get decisive enough to do so).  It's out on the clothes line, blowing in the June wind.  I shall buy cake later today.  Wedding cake is my favorite!

Last night's dinner.  Isn't it pretty?  It didn't taste that good.
A while ago I found this little Golden Book at the grocery.  WHAT a treasure!

And here is OUR golden book.  Smile.
I think of my California blog friends when I gaze at our California poppies.  I love them so much.
I finally planted sweet peas at the right time.
This peony reminds me of a ballerina.  Do you love ballet?  I love ballet pink.
This lovely girl is the bride of the garden.

We were in the mountains for a Nexus International yearly staff meeting. We were gone three nights (one full day) so Jenny came over to comfort Timothy.  He yowled with lonesomeness.  He is such a good companion kitty.  When we go out, he waits.  We love him so.

June is a warm month in so many ways, summer's beginning.
God be with you, sweet reader.

Happy Happy Happy 34th Anniversary Pom Pom. You chose right 34 years ago.
You are so romantic to have washed your bride dress and it's still came out perfectly white.
You both look so young in the wedding photo.

Your peonies are so pretty. It's one of my many favorite. They are so fragrant and elegant.
May you have many more wonderful years together.

Smiles & hugs,
Julia

Happy Anniversary dear Pom Pom. Your wedding dress looks beautiful. I was given one from a lady who wore it 45 years ago ... it was quite tatty & I made a cloth doll & dressed it using her fabrics & gifted it back to her. She cried when I gave it to her. Your flowers are so beautiful ... I love to see the summer in your part of the world. Have a blessed day dear friend xxx

The flowers are all just gorgeous. I love peonies and roses equally well---wish the peony season was a longer one though.

Congratulations you two! What a cute couple you were and ARE! Did you carry peonies for a wedding bouquet? I think that would be the ultimate wedding flower for June.

God bless you special day and God bless you both again and again. Hugs!

Happy Anniversary! We are a couple of years behind you - 32 this year. Even though Mr FD isn't Christian (YET - he will be, he will be!) God blessed me richly with this lovely man, as He blessed you with your Bill. We "fit" - I guess you "fit" too. God bless you both.

Wow 39 years! Can you believe how fast time has passed! You are a beautiful bride and a beautiful woman. Your peonies are just fantastic. I don't see how you could ever go in the house. Your gardens this year are just fantastic. Even here I don't think we have California poppies that big. It looks like you have summer underway. I hope you have a lovely weekend. I got my jury summons today. Its not until July though.
Have a great day. Timothy doesn't look happy in that picture. It made me laugh.

I love this post! Happy Anniversary! I enjoy seeing all the wonderful photos and the tribute to your hubby. I have a sweet man like that too. Such a good and godly man. Makes for a happier life. we are very blessed. Your gown was just stunning. I love seeing the clothesline, I have one too. It was so hot yesterday, mid 90's, I washed a sundress and several summer shirts plus a pair of capris. By the time I was done hanging all 12 pieces the first 9 were dry! LOL! Love the freshness of clothes drying on the line. A true lost art in my opinion. Peonies are very pretty and your anniversary flowers, gorgeous too. Glad you have a happy life and I hope you have a beautiful week! HUGS

Hi Pom Pom, Happy belated Anniversary! Your wedding dress and mine were quite similar. My sleeves were a little sheerer. We had our 33rd in March.
Lovely the peonies are in bloom for your anniversary.
Poor Timothy, I know you would give him lots of cuddles to make up for your being away.
Have a good week!
