December Photos

Some people in our neighborhood go all out with lawn decor!  I wonder where they store it all.
These girlie girls went downtown for the Parade of Lights.  Kelli said it wasn't worth freezing for.
Noah can wear the hat I made him!
I made cinnamon rolls again.  Wow.  I used lots of butter and they were WAY too tasty.  White bread makes me feel horrid, but my taste buds love it.
Birdie practicing with her recorder.  The other day Kelli had a last minute dental appointment so I took Millie to music class.  The teacher insists on parent involvement so Granny had to join the class and parents in circle time/floor time/criss cross applesauce/ ugh.
Christie had jury duty so I filled up on Noah smiles and James antics.  Such cutie pies.
 Yes, I know I need a manicure.

Our son in law Scott had a kidney stone and they were JUST recovering from a bad stomach bug.  I stayed at their house last night because he was in the hospital.  He's home now and better.  Yay!
I didn't plan on sleeping over so I didn't have my jammies or my toothbrush.  I kept waking up and George the cat jumped up near my head.  I'm a little sleepy.  Plum Cake said, "Granny, we're bored with you."  Ha!  Yes, it was time for Granny to go home.
Last week was a very busy week and I would like this week to be quieter.  We'll see.

I hope your Christmas prep is going well and that you're feeling joyful.

I stopped in to see how it was going on in Pom Pom world. I am so sorry about Scott. Our son in law Nik gets them too. Its so painful. Noah is a cutie pie. The girls looks so happy. Yes, people decorate like that around here as well. I wonder where they store it too.
I like to bake cinnamon rolls but I never eat them because they make me sick too.
Yours look so yummy.
I hope you have a lovely quiet week, next week. I am hopeful mine might be or it is right now. :)
Lovely post.

Hello lovely Pom Pom. Gosh little Noah is growing SO much - he looks such a happy wee soul. Love your photos ... I always think the same as you when I see so much christmas decorating ... "where on earth do they keep it for the rest of the year??". Do hope your son in law is soon feeling lots better - have a super week my dear friend x x x

sounds like you had a busy week with the grands. They are all so cute and pretty.

I wonder also where they keep everything - probably in the basement.

Have a great week - looks cold there.

Children say the oddest things! How could they be bored with you?!

Noah is soooo cute, and you are such a good grandma! I look forward to your posts. It's like reading a sweet little story book. I wonder too at where folks store all those decorations. There is a house not far from here that has an entire Santa airport in their front yard, made up of those big inflatable things. I've never seen them inflated. Every time I pass by it's just a yard full of piles of plastic. :) Hope you get some rest.

That Plum Cake...her mother was horrified, I"m sure! But funny. The grands are darling.

While some might be offended by Plum Cake's blunt statement, I LOVE that kind of honesty. lol. Too cute!

I hope today is beautiful in your neighborhood. Would love to have you join the stroll, even if you just step out on the porch in your slippers and pivot a bit as you snap photos of December 11th in your corner of the world! Snowy and blowy here!

I could NEVER get bored with you! You are such a great granny and you are such a big part of your families lives. Your cinnamon rolls look delicious - I love them. Those little babies are so sweet, I love their spiky hair! I liked seeing your neighbours lawn decoration, we don't get much of that here although everyone is big on outdoor coloured fairy lights. Your neighbors go all out for decorating!
I love the bare tree with just lights in your home, quite pretty.
Sometimes we Grammy's just don't have it in us to keep the little ones entertained all the time.
Your cinnamon rolls look yummy!

Enjoy the rest of your day~~

I love the little elf hat you knitted for Noah! Such sweet baby smiles!
I WANT A CINNAMON ROLL!!!
Glad everyone is healthy or on the mend.
Sometimes it's a relief when the grands begin to get bored with us grannies. Then we can sneak off to our quiet place, drink hot drinks, and play! :D
Merry Christmas to all!

Noah is such a sweetie! Oh boy kidney stones are so painful. I'm glad your son is better. Christmas preps are stalled until we get our tree. Oops. I have addressed our Christmas card envelopes...

Noah's little elf hat is SO adorable. I just love it! You're such a good Granny Elf to make it for him. Sounds like you had a very busy week with all those little people. I did too. I like it, but am looking forward to being "off duty" this coming week. I can't believe they could be bored with YOU! Please pass the cinnamon rolls!

What an inconvenient time to get called for jury duty. Lovely that you could step in and help though. We raised our 5 with no grandparents available ( we're the ones who moved) and I know how hard it is when you have no one to call on. You're a blessing to your family, for sure. Have a nice quiet week!!!

Such fun pics! We had a super busy Sunday and I am just a little slothy today but that is ok -- we are retired -- we can be slothy.

It sounds to me like you could easily win the grandmother of the year contest. How wonderful that you are willing and able to jump in and help when it is needed.
That photo of Noah in his new hat will stay with me for a long while. How perfectly adorable!
My grandson would LOVE your neighbor's house. I have a new interest in that type of décor since I have seen his excitement with it all.

My goodness, your grandchildren are so lucky that you live nearby and can help when their parents need you to. You are lucky, too, compared to me, but you are also no doubt more exhausted as well! May God strengthen you so that you won't miss any enjoyment. <3

Sounds like your family has had a rough time and you have been very busy helping everyone! I hope you have time for a good rest and break. It's no fun to have a night of bad sleep. Good for you though, being involved and so helpful. That's wonderful! What if you lived 500 miles away and couldn't ever be there to do it?
