Pretty Views

On a walk up to the park, Samantha and I came upon a battered old apple tree.  There were a few low hanging fruits.  Pretty.

Plum is now wearing her boots.  Ruby slipper boots.
Fall glows around here.  Breathtakingly beautiful.

We have a few new staff members joining Nexus (Bill's ministry) and because we have a full house just now one of the new couples (from Idaho) stayed at a nearby retreat residence.  It's a lovely home that a Denver businessman and his wife set up as a place of ministry after they had raised their family here.  We occasionally have gatherings of the Nexus staff in the room they built to accommodate  larger gatherings.  The house itself is unique and gorgeous and when we picked up our new friends there yesterday I took some photos.

There is a little chapel/house of prayer on the grounds.

Timothy is extra loyal and affectionate.  He purrs and purrs, comes when called, and likes to spoon.  Precious pet.
Jenny and Scott (and the sweet girlie girls) start moving into their new house on Friday.  Tim still likes to creep downstairs and explore.  Here he is hiding behind Jenny's computer.

So, we have a few more days of a full house.  After that it'll be back to quiet house mousing.  I hope things are perking along well for you.  Thank you for stopping in.

Your blue skies and golden leaves are a wonder! I also adore the tiny house of prayer. Won't your house seem empty and TOO quiet, when your family moves to their own abode?

I love your autumn photos. I love having a full house, but the quiet and back to routine when they leave is nice too.

Fall is full of loveliness, isn't it! Your photos are evidence of that.
The little chapel seems like such a quiet peaceful place. I especially like the big wood door with the Rose window. Well, I'm assuming that door is the one for the chapel.

That retreat residence is just beautiful. I can almost feel the peace of it coming through the photos. Your sweet kitty does indeed look very comfortable. Pets are so precious. Have a blessed day.

The retreat is very beautiful and must be a wonderful place for contemplation. I took a look at Nexus and saw the work they are doing and the lovely picture of you and your Bill together. Betty x

Timothy steals my heart, every time! Such a sweetie! And loved the pictures of the retreat home... a lovely place to connect with the Lord! Love the pictures of fall too. We have three heavy storms hitting us in the next few days, and I'm sad because that means all the lovely leaves will be gone. Hugs to you today!

How nice to have that retreat available. Love the little chapel. Looks like you have the same leaves falling in your neck of the woods. Your life is definitely full. Hope you have a peaceful weekend.

Perking along, indeed. You will miss your house guests, but at the same time welcome having the home to yourselves again. Will you miss Tim? He's cute. Looks like you are enjoying fall. Denver looks pretty in her fall colors. And Nexus looks wonderful, a sanctuary indeed.

I hope you'll be a happy, quiet house mouse, and not miss your brood x I am off to a retreat centre tomorrow for our church retreat day. I do hope it will be as much a house of prayer as this one looks.

What a beautiful ministry home. Very peaceful looking.

Your home will be a peaceful home once again. The buzz of busy families is fun, but for me, it's always nice to have the moments of quiet and peacefulness.

Timothy is such a cutie patootie.

Pretty Fall photos. The retreat residence looks so peaceful. And those ruby slippers...oh my! my little grandittle, Gwynn, would love them. :)
I'm not surprised that you love that little Timothy. I have lived with and loved two little tabbies over the years and they were both the sweetest cats. Deb

My kids have been reading Susan's October calendar on my fridge and saying "just buy a kitten". Ha ha you took her advice! (Just a few weeks early)

What a nice long and newsy post. Love Plum's red slipper boots - I see your love of the color red has passed down the line. I also like that unusual ministry house - seems very Western European in flavor from what I can see. Thank you for your blog visit and comment - it's good to be back.

Such beautiful photos. Tim is lovely. And that house! I was very struck by how it seems to have a different atmosphere from a house you might see, for example, listed for sale on a website. Its purpose is for worship.

It's always been a secret desire to have a chapel on my property...maybe next farm.

What a gorgeous building. Love the lovely bay window in the chapel. Isn't Fall a season filled with a glorious riot of colour. What fun Plum's shiny red boots are. I think I would never want to take them off.
