All Good

Hello friends!  Some of our grands have been Disney cruising.  We miss them.  Have you ever been on a cruise?  I have not.  I think I would really like the water part of a big boat ride.

Jenny's chickens are growing.  Sam and Plum Cake are enjoying them.
More ironing.  I pile all my clothes in the laundry basket in my study and I iron when I feel like it.  I didn't want you thinking that it's a chore that I feel like I must do.
Here's that water I was talking about.
I'm knitting a cotton tank/vest thing.  I am using this Peter bag my sister gave me for this project.  Cute, huh?

I went to the mall to get my hair cut.  A nice young girl from Eastern Colorado styled it.  The funny thing is that she lived for the first six years of her life on "a small island nobody knows about".  Yes, my Guemus Island!  We had fun talking and she snipped off my hair.  Next time I'll  have her cut it shorter, but didn't she do a nice job with the blow dryer?

I've been waiting forever to get this book in the mail.  Have you read it?
We flew to Salt Lake City to visit some friends.  Salt Lake City mountains are VERY pretty!
Today's cloudy but we had a few days of good clothes line weather.
 Plum has been visiting.
 Bottoms up.
We had to get the guest room ready for Samantha Rose to spend the night.  I moved the flower sheets from our bed because they are too slippery.
 We went to the library.
Later with Sam, we visited the bookstore.  I love the way the bookstore smells, don't you?
I've eaten quite a bit of kid food in the last few days.  Argh.  Back to plants.
Sam has a new raised bed for her very own gardening endeavors.  She likes blue flowers, but she could not resist a very red geranium.  Who can?
A few lilacs came over the fence so I clipped them.  Our tulips are pretty, too!
James turned 2!  This morning we went to the mall and ran around.
James had a little work to do.
Later at his party, he enjoyed the veggies and dip.
He liked playing with his cousins!

We have had lots of grand-style fun lately.  LOTS!
We're having our wood floors refinished so that means a lot of moving stuff.  That's what we'll do tomorrow.  We'll celebrate Mothers Day, too.  I'm so thankful for my mother.  I love her so.
I'm so grateful that God allowed me to be a mother, too.

Your hair looks so beautiful, Karen! I love it. I would really like to get brave enough to go shorter. Your hair is a very pretty color too. I loved seeing the grandchildren and reading about what they've been up to. I just wanted to say that Samantha Rose is a really beautiful name. Samantha is one of my favorite girls' names. My daughter almost got it for her middle name but in the end we agreed on something else instead. Naming kids was hard work for us, we had a lot of differing opinions. :) I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day!

I love your new haircut! I'd love to cut mine short but I have soooo many cowlicks! I have been on two cruises, both to the Caribbean, and I loved them. You can do as much or as little as you wish. Happy Mother's Day!

I do love your hair style! My hair is thin and so I can't get it to look like that or that would be my style too! I've ever been on a cruise and would like to. Been to Disney World lots of times but never on one of their cruises. Happy Mother's Day.

I don't think I'd enjoy being on a cruise. I have gotten sea sick on the ferry!!
So much going on at your house. All the time. You must have lots of energy ( and maybe a few extra naps).
Happy Mother's Day to you too.

I love your new haircut. It suits you to a tee.
Looks like lots of fun times happening at your house.
As for cruises, I've been on two... honeymoon and once with the kids when they were in elementary school. It was fun, but I think I am more of a landlubber. Although I think the Disney cruises look like great fun for a family.
Your flower bouquet is so pretty.

Oh my. You have been busy. Love the hair cut. We need to meet up again at the Botanical Gardens. When the rain quits and the sun comes out. Those little chicks will be tame and spoiled! Such fun.

James is just about the age of our little Laddie boy. It's fun to go to a two-year-old's birthday party, I think!

When I see that picture of your granddaughter with adolescent chickens on her arms, and the expression on her face, I wonder if there is anything more fun than playing with chicks! It's great that the kids have that experience.

Your hair is very pretty!
