Sweet! Lots of SWEET!

The sun is shining today and the air is warm!  There are no leaves on the trees yet, but we can be outside without freezing - a huge PLUS!
The other day I was at Jenny's and Plum Cake found my lipstick.  I think it goes well with her blue-so-blue eyes.
It's still chilly in the mornings so hot chocolate's on the menu around here.
They're home now, but Millie's family had a little jaunt to Disneyland.  She's so sweet, still loving the characters.

I added yellow and pinky-purple to the mittens.
This morning we decided to take James to the mall and we were able to keep him happy in the stroller for two big loops around the shops.  His reward:  a vanilla milkshake.
 And then to the park.

There are many jobs to do around the house on this springlike Saturday morning.  I already have almost 8000 steps so there is no need to push, right?  I have to remind myself that I can really only do one thing at a time so it's a little silly to form so many lists in my mind.
And there is a yarn store going out of business with lots of yarn and books for sale.  They are even selling the cute upholstered chairs, but I don't have any room for additional furniture since we never get rid of anything and our house is brimming with hand me downs that have become permanent fixtures.  Smile.
Decided.  I'm heading to the yarn store.
Happy Saturday!  Happy DAY!

Plum Cake and those eyes, beautiful!

Have you started on your Easter dress yet?

Warm outside in GJ too, and I took down the winter wreath, waiting for spring inspiration.

Julie remains in GJ, although they want to transfer her to Denver, so weshall see. She had pressure relieved today by a shunt tap.

Plum Cake is adorable! And I love the Disney pics! 8000 steps -- that's a lot of steps -- do you use a tracker or a pedometer?

I wish I was there, I could use some comfy chairs. I wish I could go there but so sad they are going out of business. I like Plum Cake looks so sweet putting on your lipstick. Also James and his milkshake is priceless.
I bet you have 10,000 steps by now. Good for you!!
It sounds like a perfect Saturday. I love your yarn colors too. I am impressed you can make mittens.
Have a wonderful evening

This post just makes me smile...and I am smiling from ear to ear. There aren't any better steps made than those following and being with the grands. What a winner of a day!

Oh I love tigger! I met him at Disney florida once. I hope you find some bargains at the yarn shop and that they make a fair price on all their stock so they can close without debt. It must be hard for businesses when they have to compete with online shopping. Pictures of the grandchildren are lovely, I have a soft spot for little James. Betty x

Yarn and books... kind of a temptation I'd say! Do tell us what you bought.

I saw a guy without a shirt on today. Why? Well, because it was 46 degrees, of course!
For some reason I find myself craving a vanilla shake!
I hope you found lots of gorgeous yarn. Have a great weekend!

I hope you come home with lots of great yarn and whatever you can get. I love a good bargain.
That young girl is getting practiced to put on lipstick. It will happen sooner than you think.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
JB

Well it will be interesting to see your stash from the yarn store. I recognize those photo op spots from Disneyland. What a sweet age to enjoy the park. You two are always on the move it seems. Hope you have a lovely week!

That Plum Cake has blue eyes like her Granny, so the lipstick is perfect for her!

A yarn sale sounds very fun. I hope you get some good things.

Like Farm Girl I'd like a look at the things in that shop! I do love your shadow picture; I have a lovely one of all of us on a gate last Autumn. Everyone so anonymous and yet instantly so knowable! Oh that lovely hot chocolate! I am trying to be much healthier these days, so no sprinkles and cream for me, sigh...

Oh yes, very sweet indeed. I will think of that first photo every time I apply my lipstick. How precious!
