On the Solid Rock I Stand

This reminds me of a hymn that Bill played for me (via Youtube) this morning.  On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand!  Our feet really are like helpless babies' feet, aren't they?

When I showed you the heart display I didn't tell you that these pretty beads are made by women in Uganda.  Aren't they bright and wonderful?
Miss Bug had a fun birthday dinner.  We gave her roller blades and she skated around the kitchen, living room, and dining room with her skinny seven year old legs.  Look at her below!  A sweet babe sleeping on a picnic blanket with her tired Uncle Jeff!
There are so many icebergs outside and sadly they will remain for a while.  Both Bill and I are ready for spring, but it won't be here for a very long time. So, we have fun with red, eat chocolate, treasure the ones we dearly love, and hunker down for the remainder of winter.
Here is a red drink for you.  YOU are loved.

That's a good song for times when decisions have to be made and stood by! The Ugandan beads are very pretty, I wonder how they were made - paper mache? Betty

I also was wondering what those pretty beads are made of.

My daughter posted a video on FB this week. Someone called Sufijan Stevens singing Come Thou Fount of every Blessing. It was very different but sweet. Love those old hymns.

I was just thinking this morning how winter is dragging by. My goodness it has been a cold one. Love the red drink. Thanks.

I love little feet, just precious and yes, on the solid rock we stand. All your colors are always so enjoyable, they make me happy. Have a good weekend, we are cold here also.

Oh I love that fat little foot and sleeping baby with daddy. Just too cute. I alway worry about toxic cadmium in red glaze or paint since I was a ceramist years ago but I would say your colorful beads are brights and pretty.
Happy February.
Hugs,
JB

Very sweet post today. I love that picture of baby feet and the sleeping babies at at the picnic.
Lots of snow huh? Does that make you sad or happy?
I hope your day is very nice. I should get that 30 day book you had on your blog the other day. I have always wanted something like that for Lent. I always like the things you talk about.
Happy Friday!

Hello my dear! Love the red drink and glass. More snow and ice here, so I am being domestic. Baking and cleaning. I find this the perfect time to Spring clean. I am stuck in the house anyway...LOL Have a great weekend! Go Broncos! Kit
