Snow and a Mug of Something

It's a snowy day!  Thank you, God, for a good working furnace, strong backs for snow removal, and tea.  I have heartburn from drinking apple cider vinegar. Ha!  Time for some soothing tea instead.
Have you ever made Wacky Cake?  It doesn't have any eggs and it's chocolate flavored (with QUIK) and VERY tasty.  It has sort of a salty tinge.  I remember our school cook made it and I loved it then, too.  Anywho, it's what's for breakfast.
Camera knobs and dials make for spunky photos, don't they?

This is a good day for napping.  Take a lesson from Plum Cake.  She snored through the appetizers on Sunday evening.  We whispered around her but I don't think anything would have woken her up.  Sleeping like a baby.
Maybe I'll have hot chocolate instead of tea.  Come on over!

You do need a good shovel and a good back to take care of snow in your path. Hope your backs hold out! Sounds like staying in with a cozy fire and a hot cup of something is a good idea. Have a great day!

We are still in iced tea mode down here. I can't believe it is still in the mid-80s in mid December.

Plum Cake is SO adorable. She is certainly OUT!

I have never tried Wacky Cake but I like Nestle Quik. Sometimes I make a chocolate vinegar cake. It's much better than it sounds! :)

Plum Cake has the right idea. She looks so cosy and carefree.

We're having a snow storm and wind right now. it started with freezing rain and now heavy snow. Driving is very bad. I hardly made it in the driveway and into the garage. Good snow for making snowmen.

I'm having a hot cup of tea right now to warm my insides. I've never heard of Wacky Cake. It sounds like a Depression cake from what I've read on the web. You know I had to go look it up.... hehe.
Stay warm and safe.
Hugs,
JB

Hot mugs of goodness sound great. We're getting a good snow here too and I've just finished up a mug of coffee and a nibble or three of peanut brittle. I made it for my sons who put in a new sink for me!! It's what they requested. So I obliged.

Sweet lil Plum Cake.

Never heard of a wacky cake! we've started on mince pies here. No snow, lots of rain and drizzle though and very mild for time of year. I firmly believe in afternoon naps for all ages! Betty

Oh how I'd love to come over- over the deep, dark, raging sea! Especially if there was going to be Wacky Cake, oh my yes indeed. Sounds right up our street!

It all gets a bit too much for everyone by this time. I feel like collapsing on the nearest sofa too. We're all dropping with the dreaded lurgy round here so no Grandaughter Day today but a whole day on Sunday with them, coughs and splutters permitting! Love your snazzy Xmas Tree Pic. No snow here, just lots of grey, dark December days which do nothing to cheer the soul!!xxx

I don't think we will ever get snow here. It's just been too warm. But I can always hope, right??

So that's where the snow is. It seems like everybody is talking about how unseasonably warm it is. We were eating lunch on the patio yesterday. Glad to know that it really does look and feel like Christmas somewhere. I do sympathize with you on the shoveling part, though. That is hard work.
I'd say you deserve that cake and some hot chocolate. A nap sounds good too. Plum Cake has the right idea.
