Golden Yarn and Mr. Knightley

I am very late for Ginny's Yarn Along because I had coffee with a friend today and then I had to do my little part-time job.  Most of the time I do not have pressing things to do!  Ha!  I bought this yarn with a gift card at a lovely little LYS called A Knitted Peace because of the muted gold shade.  I have two skeins.  What should I make?  I welcome your suggestions.  If you want to buy a yarn shop A Knitted Peace is for sale.  I wish you would.
One of the Yarn Along-ers suggested this author.  I am thoroughly enjoying this book!  It's written in letters which I love because I am very nosy and like reading other people's letters.

I had two walks down to the shopping area today.  The temperature is perfect and the leaves are changing.  There is no sweating which is wonderful, right?
So I say no-sweat weather is definitely knitting weather.  I'm still working on my alpaca vest and making steady progress.  I have noticed that the blogging knitters tend to have a few things on the needles at a time.  This isn't a surprise but it is very comforting.

How lovely your yarn a long posts are. I love reading your thoughts about knitting. I love seeing your skeins of yarn. Even I receive a bit of a thrill whenever I walk down the yarn aisle. I dream of all of the projects I could do if I would just knit.
Your flowers are lovely. I am so glad you are having non sweaty weather. Ours sweaty weather is back again. I know though it is coming to a close.
How nice to have a knitting shop like that.
Have a lovely evening. I love letters in books too.

Pretty yarn...maybe just enough for a neck warmer or fingerless gloves, but then that requires TWO alike...neck warmer for sure..LOL! I too, love letters...my mother saved every letter and card she received. She loved writing and receiving letters...I do too. So nice that you are having fall weather...it does call for knitting. Hope to see your finished projects...or in progress will work, too.

Oh I love your buttery coloured yarn. I think whatever you knit with it will be lovely. Love your Asters, too. Did you have to memorize that poem in school, the second verse goes: Asters deep purple/ A grasshoppers call/ Today it is Summer/ Tomorrow is Fall.
I don't think children are required to memorize much now and it's really too bad.
Well, we're well into Fall now I think. We are having some very wet days. Lots of time for inside projects.

That's a nice colour wool, I would make a thick soft scarf as that's all I can knit ha ha! I like the feel of wool on the needles and seeing it sitting around waiting to be held and watching it grow is great but I have yet to make anything other than felted hearts that didn't have to be 'shipped out' as a failure! Hope you make something cosy - mittens! Betty x

Make something pretty and classic. Aren't we glad that it has cooled a bit?

I haven't knitted in decades, but you do make it sound inviting. Oh walk without sweat, well I am trying to sweat off pounds, so the colder weather isn't helping. Have a great weekend, and the book also looks like a fun read.

Oooh, you should make a scarf with that yarn! Yes. I think yellow is a good scarf color, now that I used some in my own scarf, hee hee. I'm so glad you're enjoying non-sweaty walks now. I love that too and it's finally happening where I live as well. Yay!

You have a new look here on your blog. Very nice! But I miss your blog roll. Your muted gold yarn is quite lovely and I'll be interested to see what you decide to do with it. Ah yes, no sweating while walking is LOVELY! And I hope our turn comes sooner rather than later here in SoCal. Another heat wave in the works now; it's been so long since I went for a walk outdoors. Glad to see how you are enjoying your days, now that you have nothing pressing most of the time. ;-)

Maybe a cowl. Or hat. It is a lovely shade of yellow. Beautiful flowers too. I like the sound of your book. Another one for my list.

Pretty yarn. Looks like cotton. Perhaps some nice soft knitted wash clothes?

I like your new "handwriting" in this blog post. It's very letter-writing-ish.

I don't know how much yarn it takes to make something, but I remember my grandmother knitting us winter mittens and slippers every year. I loved those.

A pretty color of yarn! Enjoy your book. I had fun at the library book sale today. Will post pictures later. :) Wish I could come up with a creative idea for your knitting project. I haven't gotten to that level yet, lol.

I love that yarn, too. I get a lot of vicarious enjoyment out of you knitters in Blogland. I'm trying to remember that positive slant and not be discontent just because I can't do everything myself. Thanks for knitting and showing your yummy yarn!!
