Brightness

(Please click over and read Mr. Badger's guest post at Kezzie's!  He's got a Dr. Who twin!)
The glow doesn't show as much in photographs, but I am thankful that neighborhood dwellers (50 or so years ago!) planted so many leafy trees.

I can imagine how disappointed westward settlers must have been when they could SEE the mountains but still had days and days of travel before they would reach them.  They look close, but they are at least an hour away by car.

Our front flowerbed is ready for bulb planting, thanks to Bill.
The zucchini's are so little and tasty.  They keep coming!
I am so thankful for the hollyhock girls.  They are such happy cottage flowers.
A few weekends ago, Brad took Finn on a daddy/son fishing trip.  Doesn't it look fun?

If you have been coloring, I'd like to know what instruments you choose to use.  I tried the gel pens and I didn't enjoy using them as much as the soft felt markers.

The sweet peas are charging ahead.  They smell so delicious and their stems are very sturdy.
Jenny and the girls and I went to eat rice, noodles, and deep-fried chicken for lunch and now I'm sleepy.  As gorgeous as it is outside, I sort of want to curl up on the sofa and snooze for a while.  The allergens in the air right now are huddling up in my sinuses and my head feels foggy.
I'll be back tomorrow for a little Yarn Along with the nice knitters and YOU if you are a sweet faithful reader and not a yarn alonger. I like Ravelry, but I like reading individual knitting posts even more.
I hope this October day is giving you good cheer!

Your grandson looks so pleased of his catch. Such a cute little fisherman and camper. It looks like so much fun and great for bonding.

Your tree photos are spectacular. I'm so very thankful for trees as they keep giving well after they are no more. It started raining so I had to leave my flowerbed digging and come in. Love small zucchinis.

Have a great week.
Hugs,
JB

Look at his fish!!! Your colouring is excellent and I personally prefer a specific brand of pen- Berol wide line felt tips-that's what all primary schools in England seem to use. They also do narrow nibs.
Hurrah for the zucchini-at what size do you pick them?
I gave Mr Badger a final jolly today!!x

Look at that little guy with the fish. How cute is that?! I hope you have a wonderful fall day- your photos are gorgeous- I an almost smell Fall in the air there.

My daughter found some "pens" that are actually mini "paint-brushes" that she is using in her book. I think she found them at Barnes and Nobel. the kids have used them and so has she and they are really long lasting. I am surprised at how far the color goes. xo Diana

Beautiful golden glows here on your post today! I just bought a few of the "adult" coloring books for our girls for Christmas. I'm wondering what to buy for them to color with, too. Crayons, colored pencils, or something else...
That fishing trip looks so great. Special memories formed for sure.
Have a wonderful evening!!

Oh, those tree photos are beautiful. I just love the colors of autumn. Your grandson looks pretty proud of that fish! I need to get busy planting my bulbs... our weather is getting colder by the day!

Such gorgeous colour on the trees! Your Sweet Peas are still blooming? Wow! I did have to smile at the rather burnt marshmallow. Mine always seem to get that way.

Lovely glowing trees. I am thankful, like you, for the trees that were planted here on our prairie. Prairies don't grow many trees on their own so trees hold a special place in my heart.

Finn is such a cutie pie! A lucky boy to get to go on camping/fishing trips with Dad.

I sometimes color and I like crayons because I can make them dark or pale or even blend them together. When the kids were at home and doing art projects, we used Prismacolor pencils. They were very nice.

The photo of the fisherman is one to treasure! There's so much colour where you live Pompom, here it is all very deep reds and browns as we go into the colder UK weather, I will look forward to your knitty post. Betty

Those trees are impressive especially when planted in a row. What type of camera are you using?
I remember when I grew some hollyhocks just outside my back door, it was so pretty and very cottagey. How happy did Finn look showing off the fish that they caught.
I was trying to find your Instagram but I can't see it in your profile. Can you give me your Instagram name?

Thanks Pompom.
Have a good week.

Hugs,
Aida

I bought one of those awesome coloring books for us for vacation -- we all loved it!! The first night we spent 2 hours without thinking on it. The next day an hour easily passed! We just used crayola skinny markers.
