Love the Littles

We DID go to the state park and we saw some good water!  It was a nice paved walk for Granny! Jenny is a runner so I'm sure she slowed her pace for me.
It's not what my water-love is used to, but it's STILL water and if I say I love water so much, I had better appreciate the water I have.  Smile.

There was a little mermaid sitting on a rock.

And another little mermaid close by.

We were visited by three mallard ladies.

We talked about visiting the park again when there is a nip in the air.  The leaves will be changing then!

I came home to Miss Bug followed by her sisters and her mama.  Bonus!
I had a little knitting time.  Luxurious.
After dinner, Jeff brought James over for a Granny and Grampy visit!  We went to the park and played in the sand pit.  I arranged with our daughter in law April for our October sleepovers with the Ft. Collins grands!  YAY!  We'll have the girls one weekend and then the next weekend, the boys!  Woo hoo!
The mammoth sunflowers are showing their faces.  Adorable.
This morning I joined Christie and James for the used book sale at the library.  James and I played at "the market".  After that we went to the farmers market so Christie could buy cucumbers for Jeff's pickle making endeavors.  He's become a real pickling expert! We ate lunch at Chick-fila (yum!) and then Grampy picked me up there so James could hurry home and have his morning sleep.
While visiting one of the beautiful flower shops I found this book but I didn't buy it there (too expensive).  I ordered it from Amazon.  It's a beautiful little prize.
Here's one of the house prayers:

May the walls echo
With laughter,
And the hall
Listen patiently to Life's calls.
Though winds may blow
And rain rage upon the roof,
May this home weather every storm
And always be
Welcoming and warm.
                   ~Andria W. Rosenbaum

What a brilliant little book!
We have a spaghetti dinner with our small group tonight (at Kelli's) and then we'll go get James in the morning.  The weekend is already off to a jolly start!
I slept for TEN hours last night after that busy day yesterday.  I am raring to go today!
Here's to YOU and all the life you have inside of you!  I just bet you'll provide a lot of good cheer to your own heart and/or to others today.  YOU are loved.

I can only imagine how pretty it is with the blue sky, and the water and all of that. No water, smoke and heat, I have become I think a hermit. I think you must have had a wonderful day.
I am so glad you have such a nice time with your gang. James has a really cute batman shirt.
I think that book looks nice too. Don't you love Amazon?
Have a lovely weekend

Ten hours sleep would be blissful. I can't get past 1a.m. at the moment and on it goes all night until I have to get up for work but hey, it's Friday now and I'm meeting my eldest boy and his wife tomorrow for pre-theatre dinner then the theatre which I'm so looking forward to. Would be hard to beat your busy schedule though, my dearest PomPom, neither wonder you sleep so soundly! Have a great weekend. xxx

Oh, life with boys here we come! Our leaves are starting to turn on most streets now. I was sure that ball was a pumpkin and got very excited! Your skies are so blue- ours are too, but we're not still in our sundresses! We have had a cosy night of cheer here in the Meadowplace and have some creative plans for the weekend- I hope you'll keep showing us Alpaca's progress x

As one water lover to another I completely understand your appreciation of being by any water, no matter the type.
Your grands are adorable, just adorable. I only have two grandbabies, one seven and one three months, but I love them to pieces.
Have a great weekend.

What a beautiful lake. I'd love to take a walk there.
My sunflowers are just about done for the season. I've loved having them.

You sound like me, I love and need lots of sleep. Makes me human. We are having lovely weather like you but our sugar maples are changing. Fall is a coming! Enjoy your Sunday. Kit

That sounds like a good book! I'll have to keep my eyes out for it.

Lovely still water, I would like to paddle there, maybe even swim.
I like your grandchildren filled days. The little poetry books looks homely, would you share the odd poem from it sometimes in your posts maybe? thank you Pompom x

You stay busy. The kids need that time--so do you. The mornings are cooling down now; fall is on the way. Most of my sunflowers have faded now with the birds eating the seeds. Have a grand week.

Oh sigh... Those steps, down to the sand, and the beginning of the water... Oh sigh...
