Favorite Faces

Hello!  I've missed the bloggy world while I was away having all kinds of granny fun.  Now I am home, unpacked, and ready to recount my wonderful time with our oldest son and their two youngest cherubs!

Aria loves to have her picture taken, so after we did a little shopping, we snapped away!

While I was in Ft. Collins our Jenny (on the right) took her girls to the zoo!  One of her best buddies met her there.  Aw!  Cutie pies!

I'm sorry that my photos are out of order.  Please bear with me!  I did not become best friends with Brad and April's chickens.  I like their eggs (yum) but I did not like the chicken poop.
Aw!  Busy little Plum likes ladybugs!
My precious bloggy friend Nana Go-Go sent me two sheep notebooks!  Isn't she the sweetest?  She knows how I love sheep.  Thank you, sweet Scottish buddy!
While I was in Ft. Collins, Kelli's family was at the California beach!  Doesn't it look like a lot of fun?

This is the cute little breakfast nook where Aria and Atticus ate their meals.  Granny did lots of "lunches out" and they liked that!

We found some awesome ruby slippers!
It was SO lovely to be with Brad, our first born son.  He's a busy pastor of a little church and I'm so PROUD of him.  I so enjoy his company!

Back to the California vacationers!  The were with some of their best friends!  Boys!

Sam and Plum liked the zoo in Denver! The bears! (Hopping around again, sorry!)
Aw!  Gus!  (that's what we like to call Atticus!)

One mishap!  The sink became clogged.  I did put some peels down the disposal.  A nice plumber saved the day!
We went to the Happy Lucky tea shop!  Brad LOVES tea!

And back at home, there was sunshine!  James is on the move!  SMILE!

Brad and I enjoyed several tea ceremonies.  It was intimate and highly connecting.  I love our boy!
The chickens produced a tiny egg.  Can any of my chicken friends tell me why?
We went to church twice.  The people there are so kind, so warm.
More fast food.  I'm thankful that sweet April isn't picky about this kind of spoiling. She approves!
Sunday afternoon nap after church and before Brad's bagpipe band practice.  My friend Gretchen's husband's funeral was the day before and Brad played Amazing Grace for him, out in the backyard with the chickens.  I put it on Gretchen's Facebook page.  I wept as Brad played.
Old Puglsey and I had some nice snuggles.  He's a funny old pug.
It's so easy to take two little sweeties out to eat.

I am so thankful that April invited me to stay with Brad and the littles while she went to Washington, DC and New Jersey with her parents, taking the two older kids along.  They celebrated her granny's 90th birthday.  I liked being at their house, marveling at April's homekeeping skills, her tidy cupboards, her motivation charts for the kids (chores).  I am so thankful for her, so thankful.  It was a precious time for me to have long evening conversations with our son, to hear his dear heart in his voice, his desire to pray, love, and serve the people God has placed in his care.  A mama cherishes opportunities to spoil and admire her children.  I count the week I spent with him as one of the best time periods I've experienced so far.  Yay!
I missed Bill LIKE CRAZY.  I'm happy to be home to eat pizza with him this evening!
I read blogs while I was away, just no comments because I'm slow with the iPad.  I'm excited to greet you now!
Thank you for coming by and reading about my happy business!  (SMOOCH!)

What lovely pictures and I love all of their sweet faces. I bet you had such a wonderful time. You don't like the mess from chickens? I think the small egg, is from a hen who has just started laying or from a hen who has decided she isn't into this egg business. Since it is early in the spring, someone just started laying eggs. :) It is a lovely dark egg.
I bet you are so glad to be at home.
I am glad you are home too, you were missed.

I really enjoyed your post today, have missed your happy chirping. All the family look so happy - it's a lovely picture of you also. How sweet the little egg is, just imagine a chicken laying it and looking at all the others and thinking, 'hmm, must do better'! I don't like the mess they make but would love to have some - friends who do seem to favour woodchip on the floor to collect the poo.

I see someone beat me to the egg question. ;)
Love the sheep notebook. Makes me want to draw something!
James is growing so fast!
It was so sweet for Brad to think to play Amazing Grace for Mr. Glad's funeral. I'd love to hear it.

As usual your love and zest for life comes flooding out of your posts! In line dancing I am learning a dance called "Live, laugh, love" - I think that sums you up perfectly! You always seem to find the joy in everything you do. Thank you.

Wishing you and all you love a blessed and joyous Easter.

What a busy granny you have been! I love reading about your family, but esp. about the relationships and the love and patience and GIVING. So wonderful. You are a blessing to all of them. All your grands seem to resemble each other, IMO. They have a certain look, even among cousins. Isn't family nice?

Wow what a special opportunity! Must have forgotten that your son is a pastor! That's wonderful! That tea shop looks amazing! Would have liked to go there too!!! I'm sure your son also loved spending some time with you. I know my husband would love that opportunity if it worked for his mom to come.
