Some Cozy Things

When I was at my mom's house, we scooped up many measures of coffee and it perked along, smelling scrumptious.  Percolators don't last, but I do love the smell of coffee made that way. Do you?
Would you like a slice of butter braid?  A little more love in your red and white cup?
I bought two packages of seeds the other day, but it snowed this morning so any sort of unrealistic garden hopes are back in their proper place (April - sigh).
This beauty is out in the garden now and I hope she shoots up again in a month or so.
Saturday (Valentine's Day) when many grands were here it was SUNNY! Millie Rose is barefoot!
But now that it's cold again, I'll ask Birdie to pour you a cup of tea.  Yes, she received her own teapot for her 8th birthday!  Needles and yarn (both purple), too!
Through the screen of the window in my messy workroom, you can see our winter-covered land.
I found my French press and made myself a late afternoon cup of Joe.
Tomorrow is Pancake Day!  I shall make pancakes for lunch, not dinner.  Will you?
February can still be very red, even though love day has come and gone.
It's also a good idea to supply yourself with flowers until Easter.  Why not?
Snow in Colorado is often very temporary, so one must NEVER complain.  But, it's so wet and cold.

I've been enjoying a fire all day.  When we returned from the mall (and thousands of steps) I perched on the sofa and I've been here most of the day with a few breaks for sustenance and three loads of laundry.
I won't be able to drop off to sleep very easily now.  Oh well.  I'm burning up all of the wood so I'll share a bit of our fire with you.  Just one moment, I'll scamper up the stairs and pour you a BIG mug of coffee, too.
Some days are sleepy and I'm VERY thankful that when I am tired I can rest.
If you are tired, I hope you will find a bit of rest, too.  xoxoxo
Pssssst!  Mr. Badger is loving his hygge time with Mags.  Pop over and see what he's been up to!  I think Northern Ireland is quite nice!  Lucky Badger!

we didn't get snow here, just some overnight rain, wind and cooler temps, but i've been enjoying a fire all day, too, just to chase the chill out of the air. :)

Now that is a nice tradition-receiving a teapot for your 8th birthday! Also knitting needles and yarn? What a blessed girl to be part of such a cozy family.
Mmm...pancakes sound good.
Enjoy your fire and rest!

The red polka dot teapot is so lovely and so is Birdie. It sounds like you had a restful day like me.

My Vacation is over tomorrow and I'm flying back home to all that deep snow. At least there won't be any mosquitos.

Thanks for the coffee. I love the smell and the taste.

Hugs,
JB

It is hot here! I had to open windows and doors and I had to dig out a short sleeved shirt. I saw a tree starting to bloom.
I like seeing pictures of your winter and of your lovely teapots.
I love that you got your grand daughter a teapot and knitting needles and yarn. That is so awesome. I am glad you are walking lots. Have a lovely evening.

I would love a hunk of butter braid and a mug of coffee. I love coffee, but not in the evening. I especially love French Pressed.

We've had a little bit of snow today too, but there are promising warm days ahead, I think.

I love to read your blog before I go to bed. :) Sooths me. It is nice how you "celebrate" even the smallest things. Coffee, teapots, a warm fire. Enjoy the coming week my friend. Kit

I don't drink coffee anymore. I don't miss it, until I smell fresh coffee. X

Hasn't our weather been crazy? You had more snow than what we had. A nice fup of coffe does get the day off to a good start for me. I use a pod maker, now. Once cup at a time. The kids are growing, aren't they? Pretty and happy.

Thank you so much for sharing your fire! I do miss having a fireplace. Is this the last hoorah for winter? I don't know. Look at your barefoot grandgirl! Brrr. I love Birdie's gifts, she is growing up. A tea pot, yarn and needles :) Perfect! You are training her up right!

Is it that sustaining coffee that makes it hard to go to sleep? I know you have plenty to read if you have to stay up all night! <3

Birdie is obviously taking right after you! How lovely. I hope that you enjoyed your pancakes yesterday and that you will keep enjoying your cups of coffee to keep the cold from all that snow well at bay! xx
