October Smiles

Today we sat outside on the patio, Kelli, Millie, Bill and I.  I noticed the two dogs next door (my neighbor's grandpups) were looking VERY orange and October-ish today!
I went to Ross the other day in search of dolly dishes (yes, for the grands, sort of, kinda for the granny).  I've been needing some pots and pans for the Wendy house!
I learned my lesson the hard way when I originally furnished the Wendy house with glass teacups and teapots.  This little tea set will rest upon a high shelf until somebody needs a tea party.  Tomorrow probably!

I bought a bag of pumpkins and I've been handing them to little girls when they leave.  We still have a few!  VERY October!  Don't you think?
Kelli gave me some very sweet little treats for my birthday.  LOVE.

Christie and Jeff brought lovely smelling lilies.

MUMS!

More grandchildren gushing (sorry!) Clara made a stick horse!  I am so impressed because I have wanted to make myself a stick horse but I envisioned a lot of knitting and I pondered how to make it stand up on the stick (and not flop over) but LOOK!  A sock from Daddy, a little glue gun action, and some fat tape . . . Neigh!
Birdie and CB are both Girl Scouts now.  My mama was a Girl Scout and Kelli and Jenny were/are.  Don't you love the thinking behind scouting?  I sure do!
CUTE!  James in his new elephant costume!

Good grief!  I got my hair cut AGAIN!  It was too long, too wild, and HARD to style.  Now, I am a short-haired granny.   I'll get the hang of it, but I thought the photo below was a good way to SMILE at you!  CHEESE!  Happy October!

Like your new haircut! I wear mine in a long braid because that way I don't have to figure out what to do with it! :)
The little tea set is so cute. And the stick horse is a great idea! I'll have to try making one! Enjoy your fall activities!
:) Keep on gushing, granny! :D

I do love the hair cut. Yes, put the tea set up. Girls need pans to bang about. Our little grandson is in Boy Scouts with a goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. Scouting is so good for boys and girls. You are busy, retired and loving it. Don't you wonder how you got everything done when you worked? I think we were wise to leave our jobs with health and energy to enjoy life.

Oh I love your new haircut. It makes you look much younger.
James looks adorable in his elephant costume and he seems to know it....

What a smart girl to make a stick horse all by herself. A great job.

Love the little sweet tea set. Time for tea and cake with friends.

You are such a thoughtful granny, handing out lil pumpkins to your Lil Pun'kins! Who doesn't want a tiny pumpkin of their own?

Cute stick horse! Cute grandkids. Sweet Baby James is getting so big (and cute)!

You look amazing with your new hair-do. I like.

God is good to you.

I like your short hair - very tidy. A stick horse - I didn't know I wanted one until now, but I definitely do! I love October as it's a birthday month - my oldest boy is 20 tomorrow. I am feeling in need of orange and pumpkins and .. well.. lots of colour! Enjoy your tea at the wendy house. Betty x

Clara did a fantastic job on the stick horse. I'm impressed.

Happy October to YOU too, Pom! Cute pics. Your grands are always a delight. I love that you give them pumpkins as they go home. That's happy. That lovely doggie has such pretty "feathers" around her hind quarters. I'm enjoying October, and hope you are too!!
