Happy Granny

There are so many birds at the feeders!  There are crickets singing in the evenings! Below is one of my old notebooks from college.
It'll soon be time to gather leaves.  It was 90 degrees here today, so it is still very much summer, but there are signs.  Isn't this a sparkly time of year, just between the signatures of summer and the promise of fall?

Last year my basil looked pretty, didn't it?  Tonight I ate pesto with bow-tie pasta at Jeff and Christie's.  YUM!  We had homemade bread, too.
Tomorrow two cutie pies will come over early and hopefully Millie Rose, too!  FUN!

After dinner, James had his bath.  He loves to feel warm.  Look at his contented little face!
 Peek-a-boo!
Something VERY sweet:  CB playing the ukulele and singing Tura Lura Lura
Here's the link to April's blogpost:

It's so fun to love our people, isn't it?

I remember my mother singing Tura Lura Lura and I also sang it to MY children. Lovely memories.

Your growing basil is a success! All my attempted growing this year has been an unmitigated disaster! X

Such a sweet baby James. He is growing. It was hot yesterday, but there is supposed to be a change. I expected to get up to a windy blustery day, but it is calm--so far. Enjoy your sweet babies.

Lovely photos today. I went and visited April and watched the sweet video. How lovely and I love that song and sung like that makes it perfect.
You have been a busy lady this week. I hope you are feeling lots better. Have a lovely day.

I'm sorry. I know I SHOULD NOT COVET but those grandchildren are...well, just grand. So cute. I'd like to sit by your feeder and just watch those birds. That would make me happy! Have a great weekend.

Sweet little James seems to be a sober child. Do you think so, too? He must be growing up to be a philosopher.

Yummy looking basil, mine is about gone as it is tired of summer. Our weather is quite autumnal here, especially seen in the afternoon filtered sunlight.

That basil is so bright, so vividly green! I'm also eager for more fall leaves. I want to collect them and string them up like Susan Branch, in the window :) Your babies are adorable -- love those chubby little toes! :)

Love that little James and snuggly in his towel. Freshly bathed babykins are the best! And that first picture...it is the loveliest! I would buy that in note cards. Blessings!
