Mellowed By Yellow

Look how the flowers aligned for us!  The sunflowers (all random and coming up where they want to!) are a glorious shade of yellow.
My neighbor's garden produced these!  Yummy!  They were scrumptious.
At the grocery store, they have corn shucking contests for the employees.  If you win, you get fifty dollars.  I have always hated shucking corn, so I am thankful!

It's raining and cool here today. Bliss!  I am cleaning bathrooms and sweeping the floor.  I'll mop, too.
My knitting is also yellow.  I'm mellow because of all the yellow.  Peace.

I love your yellow. I always have lots of yellow flowers because they are so cheerful even on a cloudy day.
We had corn yesterday too but I haven't had squash yet.

Keep on the sunny side.
Hugs,
JB

Love the mushroomy background! That looks like one fancy sunflower, even though it's two! :)
Sounds like you're enjoying home life.
You've reminded me to go check my squash! I may be eating more soon.
Peace to you, too. :)

Just full of lots of happy things.
Yes, even cleaning bathrooms and mopping. Just think how nice it will be when you wake up in the morning. Your flower is lovely as is your squash and corn.

I'm knitting some Peruvian yellow and green cotton...it's lovely stuff. There's a way to shuck corn so all the silks are left behind...saw it on FB...maybe steam it in microwave for a minute or two then cut off the stem end and slide the husks/silks right off.

Lovely yellow post! Can I ask..what is corn shucking? I love the toadstool background too. Earlier today I saw a lady in a dress made from very similar toadstool fabric! X

Your new blog background is making me smile this morning.
Love all the yellow. So many good summertime treats. We have been enjoying lots of corn too. Soo good!
My kitchen is yellow which is helping to combat our very rainy, dreary morning today.

yellow being the color of the sunshine, i'm a big fan myself.
my wonderful husband likes to buy the corn unshucked as it acts as a sort of steamer when one cooks it on the grill. love having freshly grilled corn~!
the squash looks yummy. i've totally failed this year with squash as my plants refused to come up . . . old seeds maybe. i'm hoping my squash growing friends will share with me this year.
