In the House

Beware!  There's a little witch in the house!  Millie saw the old witch dress on the floor and insisted on wearing it.  Miss Bug is sitting on a Wheely Bug (the pig).

 Two more riding bugs.
Old Faithful.  He's such a nice dog.

Kelli's cherry tree is producing gorgeous fruit!

The girls went to a reading class today.  Dresses were necessary.  Granny even used the curling iron to induce bouncy hairdos.
Millie's pixie smile.  She LOVES her Grampy!
Miss Bug was running out of steam.
Birdie got to work tidying the basement playroom.
We made tiny cupcakes today, but we're getting a little tired of the taste of sugar.  I wonder if we'll have the desire for S'mores tomorrow.  Gumbo Lily suggested filling spray bottles with water and a drop of dish soap.  She says kids like to clean if you give them a cloth.  I'm going to try it!  They could clean the playhouse.
The wind is blowing the tree branches outside.  Pretty.
The dogs are right here beside me suffering with a bit of gastric distress.  Stinky.
At night I have to gather up the cats and put the blocker in the cat door as I deposit each feline in the basement.  The dogs must be gated on the main level.  The fans run for noise and the kids need the bathroom light on all night.  Somehow, I'm still snoozing like a baby.
Happy 4th of July!  Happy birthday, America!
xoxo

Happy 4th July! Hope you will have a great day. Those children are having such a great time with you. Yes, I think Gumbo Lily is right, water, suds and interesting utensils certainly used to make my boys feel like washing themselves and their surroundings! How about a bubble bath in the paddling pool and hose down after on a hot day!

Why didn't we have those years ago? What fun! That is a sweet photo of your hubby. Glad you're having a fun week, granny!!!

I love your riding bugs! And the first cherry hardly looks real - but YUM! The grandchildren are the cutest...It seems that you are like me and find it rejuvenating to write after taking care of these energetic little ones...

Your grandbabies are adorable--and so is your husband! I don't doubt that you're sleeping very well indeed.

What stories are you reading to the girls? Which ones are their favorites?

Sounds like a lot of fun and such great memories being made too.
I have never seen a cuter little witch.
Mmm, the cherries look scrumptious.

The girls look like they are having such fun. Our little Lily got a mouse for her birthday. He little legs are not quite long enough yet to scoot it around. Soon.
